Woodson's main downfall is going to end up being his laziness.  He got his ego hurt that Indiana didn't come to Mike Woodson so he had to get this job to soothe that ego.  He doesn't really want to do the job though.  You can't run the program in its current condition on flipping autopilot.  But this lazy mf'er is basically doing that.  Won't go recruit, only wants to do the portal since it gets him out of "coaching" in May so he can enjoy his summer like he did in the NBA.
I don't care if Mike Woodson won games for Indiana when I was 2 years old.  His legacy is going to be sh** to me if he comes back next year and runs this program into the ground.  I never saw him play.  He will just be the ******* who stuck around for a job he really doesn't want to do because of his Quinn Buckner's fat @$$ sized ego.

I believe this way more than the fanbase. Everyone says that IU doesn't shoot enough 3s and Woody disagrees then says college ball in played inside-out. Ugly, boring offense all season with lots of losses. 
Then the report above that after the commitment, Woodson stops recruiting him. I totally believe that.
This decommitment isn't unexpected to me.

Where do we go from here? We seriously need to do soul searching. 0 recruits in the NIL age! Who wants to come to Indiana? What a disaster.

Can't blame him myself.  Surely he can see the product on the court and has said all along he wants to play for a winning program.

"We" aren't.  Nobody gives a crap what we think.  If they did we would be talking about who is coaching the team next year.
Everyone just needs to stop sending money to these people.  The Simon's want to burn their wealth, have at it but they can't fill seats.  I also get tired of the "toxic fanbase" BS.  I will just stop caring IU and then all of you a-holes will have to find a real job to suck at making way less money than you do.  And I don't give a f--- if Dolson was overruled or whatever.  Every single person associated with this decision has got to go.  Every last one.  This was a stupid hire 3 years ago and they know it.  And they through another member of the family (Fife) under the bus 2 years ago so why should I give a flying f--- if we throw Woody under it.  I was in school with Dane, I never saw Woodson play a minute.  So why should I care if he gets unceremoniously tossed out the door and sh** on like he did to Fife?

This program is officially a laughingstock. Anyone in the administration defending Mike Woodson as coach of this program needs to be ushered out as well. Don't care how it happens.

Woodson is toast man. IU is going to be abysmal next season. 

So let me get this straight. 2024 was hyped up to be one of our greatest classes ever and we now end up with 0 commits 

Would also want Mgbako. Been very impressed with the way he’s carried himself and the progress he’s made.
And Newton. I’m holding on to that Newton lottery ticket if it kills me. Cross thread side note: Newton had an Auburn offer and the 1st video I ever watched of him was from an Auburn camp.

Unfortunately, EXTREMELY low.

Sure we do.  Our identity is obvious.
We're a tall team that can't rebound and gives up second chance points.
We're a team from inidiana that can't shoot the basketball.
We have long stretches every game where we won't score
We're terrible free throw shooters
We don't guard the 3 ball
It's a brutal identity, but it's an identity

The football program has a brighter future than the basketball program and we are just hoping for 6 wins in football.

No offense (you're certainly not the only one expressing this), but for me this post is so not true and kinda terrible. Here's why:
Woody is beloved by damn near everyone he's ever met. Do you really that love is for a guy who has the personal attributes highlighted above? Think of the people we know in our lives who are truly, universally beloved. Are they "low self-awareness," "can't take criticism," "will not listen," "thinks others are "a bunch of fools" people? No way; just the opposite.
