TXHoosierDaddy got a reaction from Hoosierfan2017 in IU Football Off-Season
It's Indiana football. Most other D1 football schools care enough to have some accountability here. However, Allen is going to ride this 8-4 season for probably a few years without anyone saying a word. And basketball season allows this to go under the radar to many. We've managed to now lose a top OL, a damn good backup QB, two key RB's, and at least four coaches I think?
I don't ever think I have seen a max exodus for a team coming off their best season in years with the HC still around and a talented QB coming back....

Respect the opinion of those that wouldn't want him unless its because of his age. Coach K is 73, Roy is 69....Beilein has at least 4 or 5 good years left in him and we just need someone to get the program on the right track. It shouldn't be a blocker that they are expected to be with IU for X number of years. This program just needs momentum and a winning attitude.

IU will hire former MSU defensive line coach Ron Burton to replace Mark Hagen, according to a source.
Burton was a d-line coach at Michigan State from 2013 until this move to IU. He's got an impressive resume. Spartans had the best rush defenses in the Big Ten in 2013, '14, '17, and '18.

TXHoosierDaddy got a reaction from Str8Hoosiers in Starting lineup
This should be more like a 2021 lineup....Three of these guys just aren't high major starters yet.....Also, Brunk probably needs to start. Outside of TJD, he is one of the few that consistently bring it game in and game out. I like Race but haven't seen him put it together for more than a few games....he gets going and then gets hurt.

TXHoosierDaddy got a reaction from Alford Bailey in Indiana Hoosiers vs Ohio St. Buckeyes - 12pm ET Tip-off
I just want to know how Archie thought he would get by this season with the guards he has? Everyone was thinking we would add another one via transfer/JUCO in the off-season and it never came. I'm just shocked that the COACH couldn't identify that. I mean maybe he did reach out to some guys but i never remember seeing us mentioned with a lot of the guys that were out there. As is stated many times, he is going to be in for a rude awakening if he doesn't bring in an impact transfer with this freshman class.

I’m not firmly in the fire Archie camp, but why is next year so important? Why is it more important than this one? Why should we expect anything different?
This year is pivotal to me - 3rd year and trending downward down the stretch again in another year where our post season life is again in jeopardy.
Still doing the same stuff as years 1 and 2. Slow, plodding, motionless offense, no shooters, no slashers and can’t get the ball into the post and go through long long scoreless stretches multiple times a game without a timeout, without a sure fire play to break out of the funk.
Defensively we aren’t great. I’ve seen worse but we don’t do the fundamentals well. Hedging our on every play despite the opponent sending their screener to the basket for open dunks or kick outs to for wide open 3s. Standing around and not blocking out when the shot goes up. No fire, no energy
It’s draining to watch, like watching paint dry

We are a “dips” family of all varieties We’re grazers. Boneless wings and taquitos will be heated and added closer to game time. Go Chiefs (by marriage)

Yep looked at it again...odd that it was the coaches and not the players. Illinois assistant seemed to instigate it by yelling that is BS because of a dunk when Iowa was up 8 and Illinois was trying to foul at end of game....He was actulaly directing it to the Iowa player who dunked and Fran going by him in handshake line obviously wasn't going to take that and got his team off the court. Bad look by whoever that assistant was.

Baby back ribs, pulled pork (it’ll be in slow cooker about 11 hours), caramelized onion dip, s’mores dip, taco dip, queso dip and a case of Elvis Juice! I’ve got ‘49ers but not emotionally attached to that. Really just hope it’s a good game (that the Patriots aren’t in).

They also have a lot of talent on that roster. Ayo and Kofi were both top 30 recurits. But you're right they play hard. Both teams do and would crush us the way they are playing today.

Started off strong to begin season until the Maui Invitational and then everything has unraveled from there, sound familiar? Also, Edwards has the look of a potential NBA star....Mizzou is a joke and they blew a 20 point lead with the frenetic up and down style he plays that we know so well.

Dude has great hands, footwork and a feel for the game. This cannot be overstated. He polishes up his offensive game some more and I can see him being a top 20 pick by this time next year. 1% chance imo he stays 4 years barring some sort of injury maybe.
