How many times is Brando going to tell us when he met Tom Allen? -

I can’t stand PU or PSU but found their game last night 5 times more entertaining than this. -

It was great, 2/3/4 years ago, to see IU tackle like I’ve not seen since a couple of the Mallory years. Tonight, however, we have missed a lot of tackles including the dude that had the Illini receiver at the 5 but whiffed. -

Yes, I was shocked to see him come in the very next series. Now has it been statistically noticeable? That would be no. -

WOW. That was a terrible call. We got one there. Illinois got Indiana’d by the refs. -

That’s a good point but at least he had some time. The way the first drive went I thought he would be pressured with 3 man rushes. -

CB missed some passes but on a positive note the OL, which looked putrid in the first possession, gave him some time. -

What would you chose if the over/under on his waist size was 52” ? -
The philosophy of the PSU DB’s seems to be grab the receivers jerseys every single time because the refs won’t call them all.

Appreciate you letting us know we need to fast forward 29 minutes. :) Their previous interview, with Lawrence Frank, was very good. Highly recommend it but as always you first need to fast forward past their two-man/boy “banter”.

2022 IUFB Prediction League - Week 1 vs Illinois - 9/2/22 FS1 8pm
DChoosier replied to LIHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I would love for this to be a humiliatingly bad pick: Illini - 17 IU - 10 Illinois scares me due to the wins they had in the second half of last season and the fact they have a game under their belt. Our offense has a ton of unknowns from the OC to OL, QB, RB, WR (did I miss anything..LOL). I have faith in our D and if the O surprises us my prediction will be way off. -
I get it that some don’t like the “idiosyncrasies” of the Hoosier Hysterics guys however….the other day I was at the gym and put on their most recent podcast that was with Lawrence Frank and it is awesome with a capitol A. Frank is very entertaining, his career path is insane, he WORSHIPS RMK, and gives a lot of insight about the Calbert years (Frank was a student manager then and was also Calberts, along with Chris Reynolds, roommate), the players and RMK’s coaching style. Check it out.

Wish Scott the best. In regards to the USFL…..if I was forced to spend an hour watching either paint dry, the USFL or a televised corn hole match I’m not sure which I would pick.

(2023) - SF T. J. Power to Duke
DChoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
My first choice would have been for Power to commit to IU. My second choice would to be outside the top 5 so we can move on and direct our efforts elsewhere. BU and Iowa are going to waste more time until he picks Duke/UNC/UVA. I have no idea where he will go but Duke seems to get whoever they want. -
Thanks for the info and good to hear. On the other hand……do you hear anything in regards to NIL and our football players?

(2025)- Trent Sisley
DChoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Holtman seems like a good coach. Aside from that I don’t see the allure of playing basketball for OSU. Many comment that their bball stadium is like a mausoleum and we know their 3 favorite sports are football, spring football and football recruiting. Be nice to keep the kid in-state. -
That’s good to hear but I’d also be curious as to how much they received and how many other football players are participating. We don’t need to be at the $1,000,000 for a QB level, as we were never getting those guys anyway, , but we do need some jingle $$ for the OL/DL/DB etc guys. At least something decent.
-
Yep, No doubt that hurts but I’m still curious if any IU football $$$$NIL is happening. I hear a lot about bball but nothing about football.
-
Do I say “ouch” or ha ha??? Wonder if it has something to do with PU’s weak NIL?? On a side note I read a lot about our BB players NIL deals but zero about our football players. Is that impacting our 2023 FB recruiting?

I agree and that was my point. You mention his lack of shooting….A number of posters criticized Crean back in the day because Cody didn’t get more perimeter shots, “but he hit shots in high school” etc etc., but years in the pros showed that the perimeter game was never a strength of his. Not to disparage Cody, as I think he was one of the most important IU players in the last 20 years, but I don’t get the narrative that Crean severely under utilized him.
