kottke reacted to Chris007 in Fire Coach Woodson
I think it’s more of it’s sad that we have to pay more than others to help make our coach competitive.

It’s night and day basketball watching Alabama basketball vs Indiana basketball.

I feel like this thread needs a T-Shirt.. My idea is below but if someone out there can create a better one let see them. Whoever comes up with the best one we can sell them and the profits can go to a slush fund to FIRE MIKE WOODSON!

Well they won't be because neither is an addition yet. We don't know if they're coming or not. Tucker yes most likely. We need to slow down on players being on the team when they might be leaning our way.

So it seems Woodson may buy a few high high talent players. But as far as cooking that is like the line cook at Taco Bell buying some truffles to add to his special recipe for inside out tacos. Then the same cook blaming the truffles when the meat falls all over the floor and the patrons are left with an empty shell and demand someone be held responsible.
But the cook ain't worried, his bff is the manger and the two just swill Olde English and smoke Swisher Sweets by the dumpster while watching the Golf Channel while on break.

Is there anyone in the portal that can coach all of these guys we have coming in?

I hate to be the negative nancy of the group per usual. But this Tucker kid I assume asked for a boat load of money. According to a scout review, he's a big fan of the mid-range shot. This sounds right up Mike Woodson's alley, taking the most inefficient shot in basketball!

It really is that hard because we haven't...
FIRED MIKE WOODSON

Trey reminds me a lot of Will Sheehey. A phenomenal role player on the right team, but not a top 3 option on offense type of player.

Tony Perkins this past weekend vs a below average Utah team.
3, 3, and 4.
29% from 3 and 78% from FT for the season.
He’ll fit right in!

Tony Perkins is a grown-@$$ man on the basketball court.
Sign me up any day any way for adding him.

Perkins was second team All-B1G correct? Not sure you can pass on that in the position IU is in

Sounds like we’re getting Tucker, and we’re in good position $ for either Perkins or Mack.

I feel the same way but only if he really wins. Not barely making the tournament and getting our butts kicked in the round of 32.

That’s 100% where I’m at. If he loses he’s gone, and if he wins and does well…so be it. Nearly a win-win all around, happy either way.

Last time this was posted, we proceeded to lose Dalton Knecht to Tennessee. We'll see if what he's cooking this time tastes a little better.

We have 40 mins available for a starting pg in 1 of the 2 best power conferences. We were 1 pg away from being a tourney team last year if you come here you are the missing piece. We will surround you with talent just need someone to orchestrate them. Look how bad we were without a PG. you ready to elevate the Indiana program?

I honestly think it's money. For sure all the other usual stuff is addressed--how they'll be used, the academics, fan base, alumni network, nba connections, etc. Pitches are also tailored to the individual. They know through speaking with the kids and the people around him ahead of time what his priorities are so they can customize a visit to a certain extent.
