This is so nuts. Columbia Records incomprehensible decision to try to fashion Chicago into a sort of nameless, faceless generic rock band has successfully blurred the fact that they were crazy good. And Terry Kath, Jesus, for those who only know Chicago from about 5-10 songs on AOR radio, that guy was simply 1 of the most talented guys in the history of rock. Dude could do everything.

We've already had a shooter-first in Woodson's system, Parker Stewart. And while he was a good 3 point shooter by percentage, that's about all he could do. Couldn't dribble, couldn't get to the hole, couldn't create for others, etc
Woodson's system is all about 1 and 2 man games. Guards have to be able to win 1 on 1 matchups vs their defenders in order for the system to work. We've had one guard in 3 seasons who could consistently win those matchups. Carlyle and Rice is the most dynamic backcourt duo CMW will have had to date.

My wife bought me that shirt years ago.
I tried to get it out and the moths had eaten it.

The only social media follow we need to sorry about is if Ballo starts following Chris Ledlum. That's when we need to start panicking!

I think this is the only way to view it. We want Indiana to keep trying. We want Indiana to win. If Woody can do that then great. If he can’t with his hand picked team 2 years in a row, it’ll be obvious. But I’m rooting for a great year. Always am. Life is too short to throw away seasons hoping for better.

GloryDays got a reaction from pumpfake in Question about Dan Hurley
I'm sure he's bought himself plenty of leeway.
Not sure he'll need it as I see the same trajectory as Coach K and Duke had. They may be the new dynasty.

Ballo sharing Cupps Instagram story from last night. Finding it hard to believe we lose Ballo.

GloryDays reacted to Demo in (2025) - PG Mikel Brown, Jr.
Bossi on Brown’s weekend:
Last weekend at USA Basketball's Final Four event, junior point guard Mikel Brown Jr.showed a new level of aggression in his game. He looked bigger – which he is, having grown to 6-foot-3 – and a little stronger and there were no lulls in his game.
This weekend at the 3SSB event, he's taking things to an entirely new level. Currently ranked No. 15 overall in the 2025 class, Brown is on the fringe of five-star status and ranks as the No. 2 overall point guard and he's making a case for a bump up. His aggression driving to the rim is what really stands out. He's always been a skilled handler, passer and shooter but his lack of strength (and he still needs to get stronger) has been a detriment on drives. Now, seemingly out of nowhere, he's become a force attacking the rim and is a threat to dunk on anybody at just about any time.

Ballo looks like DeAndre Thomas, if DeAndre Thomas had a personal trainer instead of a personal pizza delivery guy.

In theory, recruiting portal players with more than a single year of eligibility is a good thing but in the current environment every kid on your roster is technically nothing but a 1-year rental. I hate it but that's what it's become.

Leal/Cupps/Galloway/Johnson combined made 60 3 pointers last year. Will wager $100 to the charity of your choice that Rice hits at least 50. Rice scored more points than Galloway and Cupps combined last year playing in an offense that ranked 322nd in tempo. Galloway and Cupps started 75% of our conference games.
Carlyle + Rice gives us two guards who can SCORE which is the name of the game from all three levels of the court.
You in?

Maybe. Some run away from competition. Some seek it, embrace it, and see it as a challenge. I think Cupps is wired a little different but we will see.

I'd also prefer Conwell. Hickman I think we need to prioritize regardless. He's not the same prospect as Conwell or Rice IMO but he could still be a very good player. He's got 3 more years of eligibility so who knows. I'm not gonna be mad about the pick up if it actually happens

We’ve had one good guard in three years. I don’t care if we play 2 bigs if we have a couple quality guards on the floor. That changes things.
