    (C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA

I have a lot of concerns how this kid would take Woody's style of coaching and as much as I hate to say it, how would he take the backlash from some of the fanbase when things aren't going well? You've gotta have some thick skin to play ball here. Obviously the talent is there but I'll admit I'd prefer Shedrick if that's still a realistic option.

They can't believe that's a tech and I'm questioning how much basketball they've watched in their lives because that's a tech at any level.

Aaaand now I don't like him anymore, lol! I think Flory swatting him and outrunning him on the fastbreak for an and-1 slam probably impressed the coaches more than anything. Stay humble Mr. Cornrows.

Indiana Players Now In The Portal

All I've learned from this thread is IU has had a lot of players who have bad hands. Can we just start leaving a note of traits to avoid for all future IUBB coaches?

Kokomo Monster (2024) - C Flory Bidunga to Kansas

Props to Ben Davis. They were clearly the more superior team. Excited to see how Flory develops over the summer. He's grown so much just since the beginning of the season.

I don't think they can. Our guards look like middle schooler's compared to BD. Missed a lot of open looks too. Doughty is tough but he needs to quit flopping. Also call me biased but that last call was terrible, should have been an and-1. 3 points we really needed.

Wild that a 4A school's only available seating is way up at the top. Guess I'll be trying to find a stream to watch.

Rutgers out while we play in their own backyard. This seems like poetic justice.

Kokomo Monster (2024) - C Flory Bidunga to Kansas

Shoutout to Kokomo for traveling so well. That felt like it was at Memorial Gym, probably 90% Wildkats fans. Flory dominated the first quarter on both ends, unfortunately the foul trouble hit and he had to sit most of the 2nd quarter. Kokomo's coach has got to keep him out of foul trouble if they hope to win state, as they aren't deep and only have one other kid with height. Flory had to play timid the entire 2nd half and although he was still clearly a factor defensively they didn't run through him much that half. One thing he's making nice improvements at is with his shooting. FT's are much improved and pre-game he starts off with one or two layups and then it's all mid-range work from then on. Shot is a bit stiff still (nothing that couldn't be ironed out) but he's capable of hitting from there down the road. As OF mentioned, very physical game. I'll leave my bias out, but a lot of kids wouldn't have handled that game well at all based on how they were calling it and I was proud of how he maintained his composure. I'm sure everyone's heard it by now but he's a great kid with a great work ethic and any program will love to have him. OT but near the end a FW player went down with an injury and after the play one of the FW bench players was going over to check on him. They ejected the kid for leaving the bench area. I understand the rule, but thought that was lame. He was just going to check on his teammate. Play had been stopped. This is HS kids, could be a little lenient with the rule given the circumstances. Maybe I'm missing an important detail so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Hard to hear what the PA guy was saying.

    IUBB 2023 B1G Tournament March 8-12, 2023

I really hope we add some shooters in the transfer portal who actually shoot the ball when they're open. Especially when those players don't give you anything else while on the floor.
