Thanks for letting us down gently. We really appreciate the heads-up when it comes to being disappointed. I was going to go into shock and depression, but I think I'll be able to handle it now.

Looks like Archie is as frustrated as we are.

Didn't pay for the massacre on BTNminus, so don't have the eye test to judge by. My guess, however, is that it remains the same for this game and probably the next, barring an absolutely atrocious performance by one of the guards. I could see changes being made after the Seton Hall game.

I hope Archie makes em puke in practice this week.

I'm not as good a source as Hoosier Guy, but I've felt good about Romeo since the Archie hire. That to me made it a 2 horse race between IU and UL. Since Louisville got slammed for hookers and paying players in such a short time span, I've been pretty sure it would be us. IU and UL are the only places where the fan love, proximity to home, national spotlight and team quality converge. One school took itself out of the equation. Thankfully we're the program left standing. To me the UNC and KU talk is because Romeo is just making sure he remembers he has options. I'm no high-profile athlete, but I'm a year and a half removed from the college decision, and my favorite school separated itself pretty quickly as the place where all the factors were met. KU and UNC aren't convenient for his family to see him and the fans there don't care about him anywhere near as much as at IU. I've always thought he could be star anywhere else but to be a hero, a legend, he'd have to go to IU or UL. We're the only option left.

Vandy is lame, Darius, and the other schools' fans don't actually care to have you. Go to IU!

I'm pretty encouraged by that box score, honestly. First game under the new regime. It'll all gel, including the defense. 10 (11?) turnovers is much better than the 15+ we averaged last year. If I remember correctly from the stats I looked at when Archie was hired, his squads averaged about 11 TO/game. 4 or 5 less possessions given away could swing a close game in our favor. I know some people said they thought we would/should shoot better from 3. Maybe so, but 93 points with 36% from deep isn't bad. I'd rather know we suck from the outside and have efficient inside offense to compensate than live and die by the 3 like we did under CTC. Honestly, it worked out pretty well for UNC two years ago. They were awful from 3 all season, but had the inside efficiency to make up for it, and had Paige get red-hot in the tourney. Not saying we're that caliber team, but I'd rather have an inside first style than the hope and pray chucking we were punished with the past couple of years.

This is how I feel looking at the schedule. We're not a supremely talented team, but we have a roster with a lot of age/experience. I'm pretty sure we can be a tourney team, probably in the 7-10 seed range.
