I know you don’t want to take my word for it but he’s told a lot of people in the last 5 years that he will coach CBB again particularly one school.

I’m ready to be hurt again. What’s the odds Woody is the bridge to Stevens? And was this the plan all along? Stevens says not yet, give Woody a go and I’ll be ready when he retires. Probably pure delusion but why in the hell did Seth tweet that lol

No way he is no Woodson fan

Not saying I agree, just passing along what was posted in there. I don't follow Jim or listen to his show but I wouldn't think the commenting style lines up between the 2 either. My one guess on who the infamous Tyme is one of the student managers.

Very small notice but seems Adam is locked in.   A couple days ago a lot of talk about him leaving to Michigan.  Could mean nothing but looks like he is still a Hoosier for now

Rumors that he will be a paid member on staff after he graduates. My best guess is he was planning on working for Dusty, Woody/Dolson said not so fast, and then they offered him a position.

I want the evansville stretch 4 that just went portaling

Yeah would love a defensive specialist big (Bradshaw) and a stretch 5 (Humrichous or Dawson Garcia). The odds of that happening are slim since someone is going to have to sit the bench but it's fun to think about.

So money guys like Perkins, Conwell, Leland Walker, and Hickman that are from Indiana and if they come, will do so in real part to be in front of family and at their state's flagship school?

Grab 3/4 (sorry Leland) and Bradshaw please. Then maybe one more big and Blazi as the 13th spot.

Rabby says he did not make that comment but if you saw it on the internet it had to be true as one of our posters commented earlier today.

Yeah I added a little more context in my follow up post. Maybe both can be true? Hickman himself didn't say that but someone in his camp did? Or maybe Rabby just trying to protect a Bloomington native whereas Trilly couldn't care less as a 3rd party guy. Regardless, with him visiting this weekend, we'll find out soon enough if Woody can convince him to take the offer. I would think having Trey and Leal in his ear saying how much money they've made could go a long way vs whatever Cincy is offering.

I know we're shopping in the portal right now...but man, that quote from @Chris007 about having a terrible offense for guards...

I'm honestly worried we'll get a few from the portal or whatever, have an increased NIL payroll, and roll out the same @$$ **** we rolled out this year, MINUS Ware...

Can you imagine our record this season if we didn't get Ware and/or Mgbacko? And MM inquired to us. Basically fell in Woody's lap.

I don't mean to sound so negative, we are A LONG WAY from being competitive regularly on a national spectrum

Want to feel even worse? This comment about the offense was made by a portal player from.. Bloomington, IN.

    Any update on this?

I don't have an update but based on him removing IU from his Twitter and Insta bio, I don't see him returning to IU. Whether that means he is hired by Dusty or not, it doesn't seem like he returns. Here's a conspiracy, what if he was the one leaking info about Woody and his failed recruiting efforts and is now facing the axe?

I'm going to predict Reneau, Mgbako, Galloway, Newton, and Sparks back. Mcneely coming in as a freshman. Then going to need at least 2 big-time portal guards and of course, we're going to need a rim protector.

Then we'll see who else we fill the roster with. I'm up in the air on Cupps he could go either way

Would love if that rim protector is a stretch 5 on offense. Anyone see any possible portal players that would fit that?

  10. Regardless, I think we achieved something here. We didn't get what we wanted but you have to admit the fan pressure has rejuvenated Woodson and the team a bit. He is showing more emotion on the sideline and the players seem to be playing harder. If it truly led to the ultra rich boosters pledging more money to the NIL? That's a win. Maybe Scott's player only meeting was to make them aware of that, hence Chris' comments about the discussion involved other schools reaching out to them. If he can retain the "good" nucleus of this team and actually go get some high level guards, I think most would have a hard time saying they are not excited next year.

Good news? This theory will get put to test very soon.

Don’t give me wrong I’d love to have him,

But after what happened with Donovan and Stevens I’m wondering if this is a little bit of a smoke screen with BP? Guess we’ll see.

Only thing I am worried about is if Auburn ups the ante and makes his son coach in waiting like Houston did for Kelvin Sampson. That would be hard to overcome. If that's the case, move on to option B, Scott Drew (purely my opinion on pecking order).

  12. What's everyone think about Woodson chest bumping/charging Galloway and looking like he wanted to k*** him? In case you didn't see it, it happened when Galloway played lazy defense and the Steph Curry wannabe had a wide open layup in the second half.

I will say it did seem to work as Galloway spent the rest of the game chasing him hard but that was the most intense I've ever seen Woody.
