Well Chris Reynolds interviewed on firing Archie and bringing in a big name. No wonder he didn't get the job.

In Dolson's interview he probably told them he would bring in the cheapest option who he thought he could sell to the fan base.

Not about being scared of getting fired but the uphill battle you would put each new coach in on the recruiting trail.    Negative recruiting on every recruiting battle.   Why go to Indiana and spend 4 yours when you don’t even know if your coach will last 2 years.    IU’s is in a tough spot

“Come to Indiana play for me let’s win a title. You know you have the skill and I can assemble a team that’s going to win. If I am not here with the new rules you can walk at anytime without a problem.” As I said with the new portal rules it’s a completely different ball game no sitting out for transferring. If you have played good ball you go to the highest bidder on the NIL.

Good grief this is insane. We’ve lost 6 games, the conference is still in play, we’ve beaten the #12 team in the country on the road. You weren’t calling for his head last year when we went on that skid no reason to call for it now.

I mean during that 6 game skid last year I seen enough to know he was not going to be the answer. I never got hyped up about this year like a lot of people, and kept telling family his coaching would catch up to the team and they would fall apart.

Keep firing coaches every 2 years is just as bad.   Why would any coach with a pulse want to accept a job like that.

If you don’t want the job because you are scared of getting fired for failing… you are not the man for the job. Honestly with the portal and the nil this is a new college basketball and it does not take years to rebuild.

He is going to be here next year and more than likely the next.   Staff is very deep with some 24 and 25s and they just offered another 24.    You cannot change coaches every 2 years in the recruiting world.   Got to let it play out no matter what your stance is on Woody.

This is out you become a has been, which we basically already are now. However the fan base still has expectations.

I would've thought the number of years that Fife spent under Izzo and NOT be considered his successor would be kind of disheartening.  Maybe there is a chance we get Fife.  It would be nice to have his leg up in recruiting and really stick it to MSU.

Dwayne Stephens is looked at by a bunch of people as the one to take over the Michigan State job.

This sounds great to me. Underwood is a much bigger threat. I’d rejoice if it goes this way.

Moser to Indiana, would certainly put 1 foot out of the door for me.

Most of you would rejoice, because you wouldn’t see me spending my time bothering over every move IUBB related. Haha.

I would only have a toe left in the door. I already have one foot out the door.

Things are quiet. I’m confident Brad and Thad are out. Beyond that, I’m really not sure where things stand now.  Going to try to squeeze for some info today, but not hopeful I’ll get anything new.

What does everyone think of Andy Enfield?

I would take about anyone over Moser

Not to get anyone's hopes up and I still don't think Brad comes but everything that has happened would point to Brad/Scott wanting this to be incredibly airtight as Chris mentioned. The players entering the portal stands out to me.

Scott clearly hasn't even told them about what's going on. Maybe TJD. But even with him it was probably a "just wait, Trayce...." which would explain why our best player hasn't entered the transfer portal yet. His entire team is entering and he hasn't. Why not?

Because if he plays another year of college ball it will be at Indiana or he will be going pro. No need to enter the portal.

Dinosaur offense? Stop it. Their 5 out series is exactly what Bama runs, though they run more Princeton chin series because Krutwig doesn’t shoot it well enough. Their elbow series is almost identical to Nova’a series. They were a mediocre shooting team all year, and today they were a terrible shooting team. But they turned it over a grand total of 8 times and they created open looks, which they then missed pretty much all of. 67 teams in this tournament are gonna lose. And if people want to bust out a 20 year sample size instead of a 4 year sample size to trash the guy as a coach, ok. But that dude can absolutely coach, absolutely can, and unless someone wants to break out their issues with his coaching with actual, ya know, analysis , than just summing it all up with “dinosaur offense” is not a real convincing argument.

My problem with all 4 of those years he has had one player that is now the leading scorer, rebounder, and assist man in school history. Let’s see what he can do without him.

I think a big reason is he is the new number 1 on the hot board. He’s came out of nowhere in the last day or so. Wouldn’t it be pathetic if Marquette beats us in getting a mid major coach. Lol I’m iffy on Porter.

I have not watched them a ton. His overall W/L is not great. He has only been to the tournament twice. However they say he completely changed his coaching philosophy when he went to Loyola and completely rebuilt them.

Rabby says IU has made contact with these individuals: Stevens, Beilein, Matta, Woodson, and Cheaney. We all knew that. He also says he thinks IU reached out to Keith Smart. Says Porter Moser is a guy IU will talk to. Also didn’t killed the idea of Chris Beard. He thinks that there will be a few more head coaches they talk to-maybe Musselman or Altman. Basically, he has zero clue. Just wanted to pass along what he said,

I think he is strongly hinting at Moser in that post lol
