Taking a break from looking at this site for a month because I have my Rangers and Knicks in the playoffs but after much contemplation and humility I just want to say…. FIRE MIKE WOODSON!

My expectation is finishing about 6th, getting a 9 seed and bounced.
I expect to have a rough to watch offense.
I expect we will good in a few games and look really bad in the others.
I expect Mike Woodson to say the word "hump" more than we hit 3's
I expect to see a lot of bricks at the FT line from Ballo and Gallo.
I expect Reneau to take on 3 dudes at once and either put up a terrible shot or turn it over.
I expect Reneau to foul a dude 38.5 feet from the basket reaching in when he's already got 3 fouls and there's 17 minutes left in the game.
I expect Gallos hair to be flawless.
I expect Leal to split the bench but look like the only guy who knows what's happening when he's on the court.
I expect to have the Fire Woody thread opened back up 3/4 through the season.

Instilling values is a mixed bag for me. I think that everyone well meaning has good values to distribute but at the same time I think it’s also important to let them be aware of other values because like it or not one day they’re going to be with people who are different. Plus we’re too busy looking at ourselves and have hard time understanding that a lot of people don’t have good parents or even parents in general.  God if I let my dad instill his values I would no joke probably would have been some kind of South American crime boss. Again one particular doesn’t necessarily fit the whole.  
But if you’re dead set of your child be only a certain way I guarantee you that the classroom has little impact on that, it’s probably the kids your child chooses to hang with.

If only our leaders and the public at large could have a substantive discussion that was as respectful and open minded as the one in this thread.

Yeah I don't disagree with most of this.
Honestly my wife and I don't even agree on everything I'm referring to. But I still want to be the ones who cover certain topics with our kids so we can both share our input, provide context, etc. 
Like someone said earlier, things get baked into school curriculum (NOT all) nowadays to the point where a controversial topic isn't even identified as a sensitive issue or an opinion. Rather, it's forced into establishing it as fact. It's designed with the intent to make up a child's mind without them even realizing it.
Sadly, I no longer have full trust in curriculum whether it's in daycare, elementary school, etc.

I understand your perspective. I think a lot of us honed into positions with no wiggle room. You know I'm very fortunate that I got to live many lives (poor/ wealthy, east coast/midwest  friends with so called "Liberal and conservative (god I hate lables) belief systems. " Through that I came to the opinion ( and know my thoughts are always adjustable) is that most policies or issues don't have definitive absolutes. Like the human individual there are layers to policies .  
I agree with you that we created a system which on the surface gives us and opportunity to change outcomes in policy if the majority so chooses. However I also believe that there are a lot of deep layered obstacles that hinder the opportunity to make very necessary changes that would benefit the whole population.  Layers upon layers. Again just my opinion. I appreciate you being honest. 

I just don't think the teachers have that type of time to mold anything.Seriously overworked and underpaid position.  Just imagine taking care of 20 kids at the very least.  That's madness. My niece exhausts me after a couple of hours.
