If Galloway is hurt like rumored to be, we won’t make it past the first game

I am more upset about not recruiting our home state. If he would just land some of the Sisleys and Mullins type in-state recruits, I would lay off a bit. Going portal only is not a recipe for success long term.

Probably 500k was bare minimum to come visit. If we wouldn’t be willing to start there he wasn’t going to bother. I assume that’s what you mean .

Our Ceiling with Mike Woodson is last years round of 32. Maybe a sweet 16 if he stays several years. We will never beat that with him as our coach. That is not good enough. sincerely, true fan

I didn’t like the true fan comment by Woodson. The true fans are on this forum. We care way more about IU basketball than most. We watch every game that we can. We know what good basketball looks like. We know what bad basketball looks like. I think most of us know Woody is not the answer long term. We are afraid that he will find a way to be here longer than he should be, as we miss out on good coaches that could be available now or even after next season. We don’t sugarcoat what we see. We just want good basketball. Getting blown out by teams and having poor effort most of the season falls on the coaching staff. If Woody can’t handle the criticism, he needs to do something about it so it doesn’t happen again. I will continue to root for IU, but fan of Woodson I am not.

So what happened to Bruce Pearl talk? Just because the rumors were inaccurate, why couldn’t we still go after him?

There is going to be so much negative recruiting against us in the transfer portal and beyond, I don’t see us recovering. It’s time to break ties with Woodson . I don’t care what statement was released about him coming back. Next year will be awful and Hoosier Nation is fractured.

I hope that Dolson is going to current players and getting a feel of what’s going on. I’m sure he has heard the rumors of a mass exodus from our current roster. Can we still fire Mike Woodson after stating he will be back? If rumors are true and McNeely isn’t coming, then why not move from Woody now before next year is even worse? Just an my opinion, it seems awfully strange that Liam decomitts the day after Mike Woodson is retained. It almost seems like he was waiting around to see if we hired a new coach before announcing he was leaving us.

What rumors have come true other than McNeely to IU. I wouldn’t worry about what players are leaving just yet. I think it’s going to be a tough year either way and I don’t know what to wish for at this point.

Here we are again lmao. Can’t wait to hear we offered Pearl and he said no blah blah blah. We went to May and he said I can’t give you an answer etc etc. Buckner called the meeting off. Go back and read my post earlier. It’s all made up lies.

Seen a lot of rumors and chatter over the years on these message boards. My concern about the Pearl and May talk is that it’s simply nothing more than wishful thinking by us. Peegs is where most of the info seemed to come from with BD and BS to be our future coaches. Trilly and Slater getting info from him as well lately. We were to get Boogie Fland over Kentucky as an example. Lots of times it seems this stuff is made up just to make money on the pay sites, not factual information . Kathy with a C lol, comes on here and tells it how the process is behind the scenes and then we shift our hopes back to May from Pearl. oh, and “Smoke screens” is my favorite topic lol. Not sure any of that ever comes true. Sorry for the rant! I’m still reading with hope that I’m wrong. I hope the administration gets it right this time, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

I get tired of media saying we were all excited with the Woody hire when it happened . The only reason most of us warmed up to the thought of it was because we had Matta and Fife on board. Woody was my least favorite of the bunch.

I don’t think Quinn is going to let his other brother in a power position get let go .We will be stuck with Woody another year. I’m sure Dolson is looking around just incase. That’s his job. I don’t buy that any numbers have been agreed on with Pearl. That’s some more Billy Donovan, Brad Stevens rumor mill stuff that just gets our hopes up at the end of the day.

That’s what happens when you hire a former player like CW. Hard to get rid of . I said that when we hired him.

Not a rumor so don’t run with it.. any chance players know We are making a change after season and that’s why we are playing looser?
