Seems we have only 3 players who can score. 4 if Hartman is 100%. And no one gets hurt in practice today or tomorrow. Still, we go hot, cold, hot, cold. PSU by 5 at 74-69. Once again, we just cannot defend our own floor.

I think CAM works to keep this as a core for next season: Morgan, Smith, Greene, Moore and McRoberts. Possibly Durham. Pickup up a grad student with a year of eligibility left, and a couple of tough minded JUCO transfers to go along with the incoming class. And Romeo if we can lure him to Bloomington.

I hate to be another to say this, but this particular team/group is better with Davis on the bench. There is nothing to be gained this year anyway, other than to give the freshmen more playing time to grow and learn how to play in the B1G.

Blackmon gone to graduation. Johnson gone to graduation, and year at another programs while in graduate school.. Hartman gone to graduation. OG to pros, even if development league for a year. One of Davis, Jones or Green gone for greener pastures. One or more recruit changes mind about IU. Morgan returns. Newkirk returns. McSwain returns. Gelon returns. Bryant, probably returns rather than sit out a year to transfer.

80% is very encouraging. However, how many deflections have we got? That is what counts, isn't it??

I will not be tuning in on Saturday, or any future games this year. My stomach and bowels can not handle any more of this senseless type of basketball. I feel sorry for the players, and fear we lose a couple via transfer and a couple of the recruits if a replacement for Crean is not forthcoming very soon. Sad state of affairs.

Does anyone here really think Mizzo or another decent program is going to want to pay what CTC wants?

Did Clappy give us the stat on how many deflections we had last night? You know, the really important stat.

I live right outside Raleigh. No one here would want Crean's plane even landing at RDU. Scary thought.

Gophers 83 Hoosiers 66 We turn the ball over on the first possession (of course, guaranteed), we dribble the ball until the shot clock is down to 2 seconds and take a desperation heave at least 4 times during the game, we make no baskets after a time out and Crean draws up another failed play, Blackmon gets his shot stuffed twice, as does Bryant, Bryant picks up 3 fouls before halftime, McRoberts passes up a half dozen open looks, Blackmon gets beat by a Gopher guard 4 times or more, and in an act of desperation, Colin Hartman suits up in a plaster full body cast at halftime, and starts the second half in order to have one player on the floor with some leadership and guts.

Biggest problem last night, was CTC did not pull up his pants enough times. That and, of course, the number of deflections was insufficient.

Will we have an inside game or not? Will TB come to play tough, or his more or less usual soft? Will we protect the basketball, or go back to our 18+ T.O. routine? You never know with this team. And this coach.

Robert Johnson. Steady at both ends. Great attitude. No showboating.
