I'm not sure how well GoColts would go over here. He is knowledgeable but he can also be VERY abrasive, which IMO can be very entertaining if your not on the receiving end.

I'd be willing to give him a shot, but others may grow tired of him pretty quickly.

As Someone very close to Indiana basketball from '85-'88, I can say personally that many of the stories are fabricated, many are true. Coach Knight was very private outside of Assembly Hall. He did his best to remain inconspicuous to avoid contact with the general populace. It was not unusual to cross paths with him in area restaurants, but usually he would be seated with other coaches in a closed or otherwise separated area in the establishments. That way he wouldn't be asked for so many autographs. He didn't hang around out in public, on campus, etc... Frustration would boil over, then calm would come over him, and take him to a whole other place. For instance, 1987, late in the season, players were tired, coaches were tired. Players came into practice, Coach knight had them line up on the baseline. He had a fishing rod in his hand. He went on to describe how great fly fishing was, about how that was his favorite activity, etc... Then he asked, "any of you boys know how to cast a fly?", no one responded. He went through the line of players one by one teaching how to cast a fly rod, having each of them aim for the free throw circle. You just couldn't figure him out, but sometimes even he knew when enough was enough.

I started watching/listening to IU basketball in the '50's so I remember the Knight years from start to finish. That he was a great basketball coach is a given. He professed so many values that seemed so right and yet acted at times so badly. I have never understood him and to this day I'm not sure exactly how I feel about Coach Knight.

Why is Crean visiting 2015 guards. Why. Why Why. He doesn't even play April and barely plays Holt. What is his plan for next season? Hope Hanner gets better? Even if Hanner is better, he's still one of the worst big men in the B1G if not the worst. Unreal.
