I hate to say I agree, but I agree. The burners and “staff” fighting the same fanbase that allows them to be relevant is one of the most backassward things I’ve seen. It’s going to be a self fulfilling prophesy when these accounts, plus Woody/Leal etc actions completely divide an already fractured fanbase into fully giving up on the program. Yeah, when you want Stevens, Hurley, Donovan it seems like a downgrade. But he can recruit. He’s a bit slimy and doesn’t care about it. He’ll probably cook at UK. Seems like an almost perfect fit. Tyme is an a$$hole but he leaked Wolf long before he went into the portal. As far as out involvement, Looks like not much, but maybe. Tyme’s Twitter demeanor and likely connection to our staff or team kinda makes me hate the staff/team. It’s the same “true fan” crap over and over. Fanbase is delusional. Excuses for everything. It’s exactly the sentiment of this staff. Excuse making, fan blaming, underachievers. Now it’s the “watch us spend a lot of money and build a winner, then what do you have to say?” And to that, I say shut up and win. Run an offense that looks halfway as pretty as UConn. Maybe. I don’t see why Cupps needs 10-15 except just to play him. I like Galloway as a PG so he doesn’t try to be a spot up shooter. The less he shoots outside of 8 feet the better. He was at his best operating pick and roll as a ball handler. His value goes way down due to shooting despite all the other good stuff he adds. I think PG is his best spot.

I’m actually a big proponent of playing 7-8. But when your 7-8 aren’t good enough you need guys that are good on the bench. Woody messed about everything he could up last season. No doubt in my mind he tries to play 10 again. Hopefully he has finally learned hockey subs are stupid. I’ve got bones to pick with Woody.

I think he’s close to Connor Essegian. If he gets PT he will eventually light it up somewhere.

This is where things get interesting. Galloway is going to play a lot and then we have 3 guards already as backups. I feel like we have 2-3 starter spots to sell and then 3-4 bench spots. Staff will need to figure out the starter/depth piece part of the puzzle. not easy in the portal.

Painter is a great coach. It would probably be a really smart move If they let Painter do his thing, but I don't think Painter specializes in the 5 star mentality, he actually seems to avoid it. It would be a beautiful disaster.

I prefer him over Carlyle and Rice. Although Rice's storyline is intriguing so i'm rooting for him. I also think Boogie has star potential and really like him but the Youth vs experience aspect becomes and important distinguisher.

Especially because they know their administration won’t screw around and hire someone unproven. They will be swinging for the fences and will pay what it takes to make it happen. While we overpay a candidate at 4 million when we should be paying the best guy we can find 8 million. The admin will never get it right. Always behind the 8 ball.
