I'm convinced that Crean doesn't know how to utilize big men in his transition offense. And that's fine with me. But I want to see a coaching hire that is purely for the development of big men. Crean can run a solid transition offense and develop guards extremely well IMO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Not a fan of "coach" Johnson. People have asked why...I give you his own words. Shouting down the head-coach and kicking and stomping on the sidelines isn't coaching. Maybe he can read that and learn from it. I'll admit, when people make your explanations easier, it is refreshing.
I appreciate KJ for what he is, an incredible pipeline to East Coast recruits. If that well dries up, then I'll start to get on him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If Crean said straight up at a press conference, "This my fault and I take personal responsibility for letting you down. I will do everything I possibly can to help our players exceed the expectations placed on them as Hoosiers," Hoosier nation would stand up and applaud and buyout rumors would stop instantly.
Wow seriously guys? You're taking what I said and making in to something completely different to try and ostracize my points. That's childish and lazy. No, I'm not talking about workout regiments. I'm talking about improving AS A COACHING STAFF so another season like last one will not happen.
Camp I was just employing that fickle she-beast named Sarcasm we have all come to know and love. I'm on board with coaches accountability to the fan base, but I also agree there isn't much to be said other than, "We sucked this year, but we're doing everything we can to get better. Next year will not be a disappointment." Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
I'm not sure what you're expecting that you haven't seen on this board. Do you really expect a press release which says: "Jeremy was suspended because he sulked and was regularly using weed"? "Austin has a degree, got minutes and couldn't hit an outside shot, and didn't like some of the other guys on the team"? "Johnny Marlin is Austin's best buddy and doesn't care for many of the returnees"? "We were so pissed off at lack of focus that we braced the crap out of them in the locker room post-NIT announcement"? "Noah is a great kid and a great teammate but he was in it for one year and grabbed the cash"? Would that really satiate your curiosity? SMH
No! We want to know EXACTLY what kind of workout regimens the guys are on, as well as there eating habits so we can correct any mistakes the coaching staff is making with them! He's calling out all of our forum chatter that cites "trust me" as a source. Sounds like a pretty subtle warning to "insiders" to hush up or information will become very hard to come by. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I understand this has been a crazy year and it's only gotten crazier since the season ended, but our lack of support for CTC and the team cannot be helping our situation... https://twitter.com/jeffrabjohns/status/448191687588737024 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I have no legitimate sources or anything, just what's been floating around on the twitterverse and I might have seen it here, but not 100% sure. Indiana Transfers Impact This Season
My thing is, at least 3 (rumors floating around about 2 others) transferred. 5 people transferring doesn't happen too often from what I've seen. Counting Noah, almost half of our team is gone due to early departure. Add in Sheehey, Gordon, and Howard, and that is the type of turnover that no program can be successful with. Please stop the negativity
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Supporting the team and being critical are not mutually exclusive, and after this disaster of a season criticism should be considered fair game.
I completely agree with that. It's the rumors of Tom Crean's firing, rumors of us seeking out Mike Woodson (please god don't do that to us), players hearing rumors that THEY are transferring, the booing at games with recruits (Marvin Clark) sitting behind the bench. All of that is just so reactionary and harmful to a program. Doesn't make a bad situation any better. Pretty sure Crean and the players have received plenty of criticism from those much more knowledgeable than most of us who post in here. I just hope we here some good news by weeks end haha. Its concerning to see so many worried about criticism. Our recruiting has been great...its the team development that is concerning.
The current players and coaches are what make up a huge portion of the program. How can you not support them? Hollowell & Etherington transferring..

So our options that have been named are Anthony Lee, Yante Maten, Josh Cunningham, and potentially the VT transfer Trevor Thompson (although he sounds like a project). This is crazy, but Myles Turner of the 2014 class is still undecided. He's a 7'0" center with crazy skill. There must be some reason, but I'm surprised we haven't even heard of Crean trying to break into his recruitment. Can anyone shed any light on what our realistic shopping cart may look like? Hollowell & Etherington transferring..
It's still an awful comparison, but for some reason it keeps being brought up. Cal won the title in the year before, made the Final Four the year before that and the Elite 8 the year before that. Oh, and he'd been to the Elite 8 a couple of times before he ever got to UK. In short, he has a hell of a lot more equity built up.
It's not a comparison to their program but the one specific event that occurred. Had a first round NIT loss happened to us, our fanbase would have lost their minds, especially since we haven't had the kind of recent success Kentucky has had. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Not that huge. They've got solid players coming back, have all of their "big men" back, plus Loving will be another year better and their recruiting class is top notch (Bringing in the #6 and #8 SF according to ESPN, meaning they replace Smith and Ross right there)
Everything you said sounds like what was being said about IUBB before this season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
The whole point is that there is turbulence now, Sweet Sixteen followed by missing the NIT, but we will steady out. This is all part of the process. I'd love to hear people talk about the bright points of the future instead of constantly harping on the negatives of a down year. This same thing happens next year, then I'd agree that there is reason for concern. But at least we didn't go to the NIT and lose in the first round with one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
