NBA Draft Lottery (Cleveland at 1... Again)
Definitely. They can't go wrong with either of them. But with Vic and Smart, they almost are the same position wise. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
They're in an odd place. I think they want to move on from Nelson, but haven't found the right man to take over at point. The hype around Exum is exciting though. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

If billy Donovan goes on to coach nba

I just hope Billy leaves, DRob is released from his LOI, and we see him in Candy Stripes next fall. Lol Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

NBA Draft Lottery (Cleveland at 1... Again)
Then you would have 2 guys that kinda can play the point but probably shouldn't. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Yeah we'll see what happens with Nelson. I just really like Exum's game. Smart is a player as well though.
A player as highly ranked as Robinson isn't going to waste an official on a school like OSU if they haven't offered. Rivals showes they offered.
Thanks. I wasn't arguing with you. Just letting you know what I was seeing on 247. Thanks for looking into it further. NBA Draft Lottery (Cleveland at 1... Again)
So worth noting the 76ers are reportedly shopping MCW and want to draft Exum. That is kind of crazy
Wow. I really want the Magic to draft Exum, but they seem to be looking into Smart an awful lot. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.
Then they made a mistake. They were definitely involved/offered. I'm 99% sure he took an official there.
They noted that he made an official there and the coach visited him. But no offer was mentioned. They're pretty detailed with his profile, but it's totally possible they did update that.
Yeah, they grew up tight. Lived by each other. Played AAU since elementary. Robert when he committed said the first person he would work on after his announcement was Devin. Devin's last visit was Florida. Many people thought we were up there as was UConn. I would think after what Ollie did, they would be up there if Donovan left. Obviously he knows he would start and play like 25+ for us out of necessity at the 4 out of the gate. Donovan has one of the comfiest seats in America though. No Florida schools to really fight with for top players. Prime location. Tradition. Money. Football school that excels at basketball. Dude has it made. IMO, he would be nuts to leave for the NBA. I put him in that Izzo category. Will always be suited, but always looking for a reason to stay.
I agree. Presumably, Florida would pony up the pay raise to get him NBA money to keep him there. But the thought of coaching Irving and Embied/Parker/Wiggins, plus whoever the Cav's have the ability to pay for in free agency this summer has to be enticing. Could be a possible Finals contender. He's already reach the pinnacle twice and has cemented his legacy at Florida, maybe it's time to add another milestone. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

Hoosiers jumping from ADIDAS to Jordan Brand??

It's been mentioned before, but I haven't seen match data on the connection between recruiting and Nike brand schools. Can anyone speak more to this? Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.
He's from Virginia right? Wonder how much of that recruiting was attributed to KJ. With Louisville having offered too and now KJ over there, could get competitive.
KJ and Crean were both on his recruitment per 247Sports. Indiana Pacers 2.0

ESPN is awful about taking coincidental or correlated statistics and claiming causality, but this is still interesting. @SportsCenter: Want to know who will win tonight's Heat-Pacers game? Pay close attention to Roy Hibbert's first shot. The same thought crossed my mind, but we'll see if Billy Boy approves of the Cav's decision with the #1 pick. They are supposedly the main suitor if ESPN is to be believed. NBA Draft: Noah Vonleh

Chad Ford has been signing Vonleh's praises since the combine. I hope his position in the draft comes as a very positive surprise. Ford also credits part of Vonleh's impressiveness to the low-post skills developed at Indiana by Crean and staff. Looks like challenging him in the post instead of letting him sit on the wing and do what he was already good at may be paying off. https://twitter.com/indianambb/status/469864197749485568 Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

Crean $20,000 for perfect academic progress rate
I wouldn't get too excited over this award/reward. Most of the players getting the bulk of the minutes are majoring in "Recreation Sports Management" (basically, they can be in charge of recess when they graduate). The walk-ons along with a few scholarship players have a bit more complicated majors. Ethrington got his degree early, Fagan made it into med. school, Hartman a business major etc. So most of these kids have to show up for class and everything is good. This makes it much harder for the kids who are taking real classes because they can't spend as much time in the gym. They actually have to study.
Your argument is great and all, except Zeller was in Kelley. Gordon was in a Master's program. I don't care what field of study, a Master's program requires time and effort. There are many other examples as well, but it is true a lot take a relaxed major to focus more on basketball. Regardless, Crean is running a better academic portion of his program than any other school in the B1G, and one of the best in the country.
