Anybody listen to Blackberry Smoke. They are a very good Southern Rock band.

Good group. They played at the Oxford MS Double Decker Arts Festival last month where my kids went to school.

  2. that stinks, it may be arthritis creeping up on you like he said. Are there some good ortho MD's close to you to get their 2 cents/ opinion? I have real thin ankles and can turn them pretty easily.

Hopefully you didn’t scare the neighbors without your shirt!  I am almost 60 and I exercise 6 days a week and I am not tone enough to run without my shirt, I don’t want to scare my neighbors or make them nauseous with some jiggling fat!  Lol!

I am blessed to have decent metabolism and a flat chest, but I still only run early morning just in case! It stems from my high school track and CC days. Always hated wearing shirts while running.

  4. WHAT a great thread you started. Good to see a bunch of us older dudes still working out. And with spring here now, warm weather helps to get us outside more. Got to run without my shirt on this morning a 6:30 which is an added bonus!

Same here, but just a few years younger. I have been a runner through most of my adult life, but have definitely slowed down over the last few years. Getting old kinda sucks. I used to run 6 days a week, but now I have to really make sure I get enough rest between runs or I start having constant nagging injuries. I've tried to stop several times and adopt other ways of staying fit, but I always seem to go back to running.

Yup, SAME. I have to be careful of too much treadmill to pavement work. I ended up with a stress fracture a couple of years ago. My podiatrist said try to stick with one or the other. I was going from treadmill to road/pavement a lot one spring due to bad weather. Your foot plants differently on a treadmill. I have to remind myself to stretch like crazy before and after and especially lower back. Thankful that my knees and hips are in good shape, but I did survive the 80's on North Jordan while an undergrad!

  6. Great job man, I still love running even at 61 but man has my pace slowed over the years. I am planning a 5k this summer hoping for  9:30 split. 40 years ago, I was clocking a 6:30 split.
