I think I’m with you. I’m convinced now more than ever that IU will never be elite again. They are masters of gaslighting us into believing they will eventually get there. The Woodson hire, at the time it came, was such a calamitous error. Right after firing Archie, we hired Mike Woodson. Might as well run ads that say they’re not a serious program.

I think that’s all I can watch. Ready for this season to be over. Such awful basketball.

Why would they have hired a known cheater in Calipari, if they were overly concerned about off court issues?

It’s the only recipe for success. Identify and hire a high level guy and stay out of his way. Other winning programs seem to do this. IU refusing just lends credence to when Knight said the university wanted to de-emphasize basketball. And if that’s the case, there should be some transparency with the fanbase (paying customers).

This is all we need to see to confirm that the basketball program will never reach elite status again. There’s too much bureaucratic nonsense. Constantly making head scratching decisions. Why Indiana has been nationally irrelevant for decades and will continue to be. You can come in here and run cover for Buckner, Dolson, and the administration but the proof is in the results of their decisions. If they’ve truly been trying to build a winning program, then they are awful at their jobs. It’s an embarrassment.

Do you believe Kentucky got rid of Gillespie bc he was a drunk, rather than not meeting their expectations?

Gallo can be incredibly valuable in a 3 guard lineup that surrounds him with shooters.

This is the way of the world. Just a little more out in the open than in years past.

I went to the new castle regional yesterday and it was a lightbulb moment for me. That was one of my favorite basketball experiences ever. So much fun just showing up to an awesome venue and watching high level ball without a dog in the fight. The tickets were $10/each, to boot! I’m going to save so much money! Following IU is a black hole of stress and frustration. A total sunken cost with ZERO ROI. They’re not committed to winning. They’re committed to believing they can win with IU people. Big difference. I’m finally fully convinced that we will never see Indiana compete for titles ever again. I’m looking forward to following high school basketball much more closely.

Just 3D chess man. Woody’s has been playing possum this entire time. Truthfully, he’s a genius and super high energy. While he was missing the 20+ prime recruiting days, he was working tirelessly to identify and watch film on portal players that fit his modern system of inside out ball and completely ignoring fugazi analytics data. We’re just underestimating Woody guys. His incredible will to win as a player has led to an ASTONISHING career win % of .463 at the NBA level. That winning like…..ALMOST HALF of his games! You guys are just meanies and non knowers of ball… or 3D chess. Completely unfair criticisms of a genius coach.

I love happy endings but my wife hasn’t been feeling very generous after the baby.
