    So some concerns I’m having...

Nice one. Why do parents do that?

Yes, I started to mention that in my reply, but stopped myself because I did not want the reply to get lost down a wormhole or two. I suspect those run-and-gun Iowa teams may have suffered the same fate as our run-and-gun IU teams down the stretch but have not looked to confirm or deny that. Edit: Upon review they seem to be streaky down the stretch year-in and year-out for the most part, but no solid trend of fading every year the way IU's Crean teams faded, so so much for my suspicions.

Maybe you are right, but I want to remind you that the 2015-2016 Iowa team was ranked 4th and 16th the two times we beat them that year. I only watch Iowa when IU plays them, so I am anything but an expert on that program lol.

I hope this doesn't come off as busting your b*lls because that is not what I am trying to do here. I just remember Crean owning Iowa. He was 7-3 against Iowa in his last 10 games against them. IU ran like AAU ball against Iowa, and usually came away turning the ball over just a few times less than Iowa, and winning against them most of the time as the result. I see your point though about the problems against zone defenses, but if you think back and remember, there wasn't a lot of half court offense by either team in those games. I only say that for the sake of conversation, not to one-up you or anything.

    IU at Minnesota 2/16/19 2pm ESPN2

Don't you hate it when IU sucks so bad you start watching Purdue because you like the way they play basketball?

IU vs IOWA 02/07/19 GAME THREAD!

Awesome! Thanks for the opportunity to troll the entire board. I owe you an assist. No way this OSU game ends on time. Possible OT too.

The one that got away ...

'75 for all of the reasons stated above, and on top of all of that the loss was a 2 point loss to Kentucky.

    Dan Dakich during Flor/Kent game

I would like to nominate this post for best post in the thread.

That sounds suggestive. Where's Cody when you need him?

Focused and tough, on the road too tonight. Maybe growing up a little this week. Maybe learning some big life lessons. Maybe keep going tough, smart, and strong for two more months or however much more time we get to play this season.

Ha! State gave away the game they played before the IU game like they do every year to prepare like crunchtime for us and we stole one there at the Breslin this time. What a relief.

I am so glad to see the timeouts inside of 4 minutes, the two-for-ones, the knowing what to do

2013-14 was the last time they won the game before they played IU. They beat Illinois at the Breslin that year, and Illinois wasn't very good relatively speaking. They practice for us at the expense of the game before us. They take a mulligan the game before IU. Remember what they did to us last year we played them at the Breslin one game after they lost one?
