He has been posting similar info for awhile and said earlier in the week to expect a meeting this week. He has not said that Donovan to IU is a certainty though

correct - he did just add that Crean will, in fact, be leaving on his own and that if he were "a betting man," he'd put $ on Missouri.  So it's not all bad news...

Greg Doyel is on the radio down here in Jeffersonville. He says that Crean is not wired to leave and Glass will do whatever he has to do to not fire Crean. He thinks a small extension is coming.

The university better be prepared for a riot if he's given an extension.... I kid, of course... :120:

I know there's a lot of great "insiders" around the IU boards. That being said, the only one I really trust is Janitor. Janitor has made his claim here and on Twitter. That's all I needed.

    I concur with this 100%.

Would think Crean will be pissed.  So it'll be visible evidence about what's going on.  Will hit up a source very, very close to the situation and see what they have to say.

He seemed quite "pissy" during the Purdue game, both during the game action, during timeouts and after the game (including his sprint through the handshake line before it began).

I prefer to look at a coach's entire body of work. Fans do this every year. Some guy has an outlier season and the fans start to act like he's the answer. Scott Drew would be an awful hire on many fronts. 100% lateral move.

Agreed; on top of that, I'd think he wouldn't even be considered due to his staff's handling of the Hanner recruitment..

I will believe it where i hear the words come out of freds mouth. Until then it's all just rumors to me. It seems everyone has a source these days.

Agreed, but there's an AWFUL lot of smoke indicating that he's gone and where there's smoke, there's fire....

  7. Freaking pathetic. I completely agree that the head coach is ultimately responsible for everything, but hard not to say WTF to the players for this stat. 3 Junior guards?!? STOP throwing the ball to the other team, out of bounds and /or traveling!

I know, I know they're told to play fast, blah, blah, blah. But these guys have played a lot of ball and know they are doing dumb stuff. Quit.It. Obviously it has been a systemic issue and Crean allows it. Doesn't give the players a pass for doing it. Maddening.

A decent coach would realize early on that this team IS WHOLLY INCAPABLE of playing fast. Enough is enough -- we aren't Marquette!

You guys realize that in conference play, we have 186 assists and 227 turnovers?!?

    That's a B1G assist to turnovers ratio of 81%.

    Wow.

Yep -- hence the very reason we are 5-10 and not 10-5 (and NOT b/c OG and Hartman are injured).
