    I agree. Times have changed. Doing things the "right" way will get you nothing. 

    Give me Pearl, Drew, Sampson - I don't care. They win. That's all that matters. That's why everyone LOVES Brad. He wins AND does it the right way. Coaches like that don't come along very often.

    At this point, I want Pitino. Don’t care about his past. We’d WIN...

    Hummel is the best. He's the truth-iest guy out there. 
    This is a great watch. While they conclude Archie may in fact get one more year because of the separation cost, literally EVERY measurable of the program that they discuss they decide is failing. I think that Goodman and Hummel would cross the line into 'he's gone' if we lose out and if TJD leaves.
     

    Pandemic and buyout were their only reasons for leaning in favor of a 5th year. And like 99.9% of peeps, they don’t understand how the buyout actually works (spread out over 3 years + set off with CAM being obligated to seek other employment).

    CAM must go. Losing record in BT, can’t beat Purdue, can’t win at home and no NCAA in 4 years. We are worse off now than we were with Creepy Tom (who I’d take over CAM at this point). He hasn’t come close to delivering here. It’s in all parties’ best interests for him to move on. Any shot NC State opens up, so he can land there?

    Are you looking for a United fanbase as a result of the hire?  Probably only Brad, Bennett or Billy D can do that. Just about anyone else will have to do it on the court. Actually any candidate, even Brad, will still have to prove it on the court. We get Archie results from Brad Stevens and we will have issues. 

    Billy isn’t leaving the Bulls, and as a Bulls fan, I’m thrilled about that. He’s even better than I realized; his post-game pressers are a breath of fresh air. Stevens. Matta. Beilein. This shouldn’t be so hard.

    Any thoughts on Pitino? Seems we both need each other and everyone loves a rehab/comeback story... I too am done with CAM after yesterday. A week to prepare. At home. Arch rival. RMK in the House. And you lay an egg? Unacceptable. Hope NC State opens up so he can make a soft landing there.

    I am obviously on board the fire Archie train. The next coach? I don't want a saint, a good talker, or any other non-essential quality to coaching guy. I want a basketball coach that will do anything it takes to win

    Pitino. IU and him are reclamation projects. We haven’t been a great program since the 90s.
