The Indiana Hoosiers received a verbal commitment from three-star wide receiver Jordyn Williams on Friday afternoon. Williams, out of Westover High School in Albany, Georgia made his announcement on Twitter. He chose the Hoosiers over Power Five offers from Alabama, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Washington State. According to 247 Sports, Williams’ decision came down to Indiana and Louisville.
Williams is the sixth commitment of Indiana’s 2021 recruiting class. He is rated as a three-star (85.76) prospect by 247 Sports Composite ranking. He is listed at six-foot-one and 180 pounds.
Williams’ statement on Twitter read:

Keeping in constant contact with the staff. Ostrom mostly. Schools outside of the schools that have been recruiting him the hardest want him to hold off committing until he can try to visit them. IU is in a good position.

Sam Story is a Chicago area high school lacrosse coach who loves IU and indirectly hears info. Because he is in NO WAY anonymous, his sources know that they risk any info to him being put out into the Twitterverse. So he gets some info sometimes, but it is just ...okay.
Here's some factual info:
IUBB is pushing for three 2021 6'5"-ish wings; Mohammed, Wesley, and Longino. Each has a slightly different skill set and major upside, and any of them would be fantastic additions to the program.
 

I mean, Louisville pushed really hard for both Romeo and Lander. I don't see a reason to be pessimistic yet

Short nugget from today on Coyle and Leary -
Leal said that he has constantly been recruiting Trey Kaufman, even when Bloomington South played Silver Creek during the season.  "Yeah of course. Whenever we played Silver Creek I would talk to Trey [Kaufman]... He texted me after I won the award and congratulated me and I told him ‘and you’re going to make it number 4’ next year."

He mentioned that him, Trey Galloway and Jordan Geronimo have a group chat and stay in contact frequently. Said all three can't wait to get moved in and on the floor together.

He’s an exceptional athlete across the board. Good size, great body, ok length, quick downhill and laterally, explosive, strong, particularly lower body strength. But his best physical trait, and I mean really good, is his contact balance. Mohammed plays through contact unlike any HS guard I have ever watched, to the point that he seems almost oblivious to it. I watched a kid cheap shot him in a game as he was going for a dunk and as he was crashing he transferred the ball from right hand to left and kissed it off glass for an and 1. Jaw dropping play. And he never looked at the kid and never batted an eye. He just plays through it. Always. 
He’s got a high skill level, but can improve some stuff. Handle’s a little high. Shot still has a little left drift, though it’s a clean action. But otherwise he’s a really complete player. Finishes with either hand. Can play on the block, in the midrange, and from the wing. Good passer. Really clever around the rim. Can get downhill pretty much at will. 3pt % isn’t great, but some of that is a function of taking 1-2 just terrible heat check-type 3’s per game. When he’s really locked in he does his best stuff in the midrange. He has a pretty sophisticated jab step series and he creates a lot of looks in the 12-18’ range, and makes makes pretty much all of them. Can both create space and force contact. Between Mohammed and Lander, you’d be able to get a good late clock look without fail.

Every time I have seen him it’s freakish athleticism with high end skill. He also has a top end motor. The biggest question is his competition. But this kid has that it factor. If he isn’t a star the year he comes in I would be shocked. You add him to a Lander, potentially TJD, a stronger cast of role players than in years past, and I think we got something special to work with here. If TJD isn’t here it could still be special, but he would have to take on a bigger load scoring. I hate asking a freshman to do that. If you add him and Kaufman? Now we are starting to be where we need to be from a talent perspective to compete.

Jake Weingarten - Five-star junior Aminu Mohammed’s guardian, Shawn Harmon, told @Stockrisers that he spoke with Indiana’s Archie Miller and their recruitment of him will pick up, heavily. He had a ‘great visit’ in January - - expect a heavy pursuit here. K-State, Louisville also in on him hard.

Yikes. I’m sure some on here will defend him no matter what he does, but that is ridiculous.

2022 6-5 SG CJ Gunn (Lawrence North) has a high ceiling. Great athleticism, 6-9 wingspan, 3pt stroke, dunks on ppl, plays both ways, versatile defender for 25-2 LN. Purdue, Louisville, Cincinnati, Butler interest.  On IUs radar, but Gunn tells TheHoosier he's yet to hear from IU.

I think Al stays. It looks like he enjoys it at IU. I can see Smith as a Graduate Transfer if he graduates. He won't leave as a regular transfer

Yup... a top five class nationally with two of the four in-state would be mighty fine.
 

I would take a class of Lander, Aminu, Kaufman, and Duncomb right now.

Don’t really know what think of it, and maybe my sample size is too small, but Landers’ play really, really seems to have elevated since he committed. He was pretty up and down in  the games of his I watched earlier in the year. Example: in the CBC(Caleb Love) game he was flat out bad in the 1st half and pretty good in the 2nd. Watched a couple of others where his talent far outran his actual play. I know he’s had an ankle, so maybe it’s health related, but since he committed he’s been absolutely killing people. Glad to see it.

IU-commit Khristian Lander says if he stays on track, he could be done with his high school requirements by the end of May, and there's a possibility he could be a June arrival. Expect him in 2020. Will play AAU this spring and if Indy Heat advances to Peach Jam.

IU plays at 8:45 ET in BTT.  Only other chance, gamble Hargrave wins Wed, fly in for 11 am ET game Thursday.
