President Whitten - 2024 Faculty No Vote
HoosierAloha replied to HoosierHoopster's topic in Off Topic Forum
93% of those who voted which is probably ~30% of those eligible to vote which is around 26% of the faculty wanting her gone. There would be plenty of public figures thrilled with only having 26% wanting them out of office. -

How much of that usage was tossing it into the post and letting him go to work vs. movement to get him an advantage to score? If we toss the ball into the post and stand around for another season we won’t be near as successful as we could be. -
Stumbled across the triple crown at Sunset driving up the windward shore while exploring the island my first few months living there. I would highly recommend visiting a surfing event if you get the chance. I love surfing but the north shore swells are a different animal. The biggest I’ve surfed were ~12’ waves on the south shore during summer swells and that is considered small in winter on the north shore.

Would love to see UCONNs stats regarding % of plays in the post if that stat exist. I didn’t watch a lot of UCONN this season but I didn’t see a lot of tossing it into the post and standing around waiting for Clingan to shoot. Having a 4 that can shoot from outside helps along with attacking guards and wings that can score. Basically, they were exactly like IU in that they put 5 players on the court. -

Where to start with all this nonsense.. Can’t believe people’s number 1 concern last offseason was shooting. My number 1 concern was coaching. We could have done more with the roster we had which is true for previous seasons too. On the topic of offseasons, looks like we’ve entered our most successful season of the year. Get the banners ready boys! We need many things including players and coaching who understand spacing. While that’s extremely important, we leaders on the court and sidelines badly. How many times have we led for a recruit thinking we had them in the bag only to watch them go elsewhere? Imaginary lineups are fun but maybe we sign those portal players, get them on campus, and have an off-season with much less yapping and a lot more leading to improve themselves and the team. Super happy to have TJD and JHS get drafted last season and hopefully Ware this season. I’m more concerned about how players impact IU winning games. We’re like a Cal-at-pUKe-lite getting players drafted but haven’t don’t ****-for-all to improve the IU program. BS isn’t coming to IU until we have better administrators. Not sure how this has changed over the last few years You would think with how the program directs all the trolls with burners they could do better directing what truly matters but here we are -

Why do people dog him then bring his stuff back to the board after he’s been booted or left or whatever happened? Seems odd -
Great season by the pu fighting Edey’s but this game shows the gap between the Big Ten and the elites of college basketball. The skill level between the teams was marginal but the athleticism was night and day.
-
If this were a 7 game series I believe UCONN wins handily with pu only winning a game or two. However, the story of winning a natty after getting bounced by a 16 seed is quite a great story for the NCAA, again. It'll be interesting to see the flow and tempo of the game.

Soju by itself or mixed with anything. Make sure you drink while standing and moving the first few times. First bottle is on me if we get a new coach soon -
We’ve had this conversation several times but it still amazes me people ignore or are clueless to the dysfunction of the administration. It’s not limited to the athletic department only. You could use IU as a case study in how to ruin a good thing. Integrity would be a major component of what is lacking.

No cost workaround, place a sticky note over the receiver on the TV, this will reduce the ability of the passive IR receiver to make it a bit more directional. Find the angle in which you can aim to control only the number of TVs you’d like. I’ll sometimes scroll through the recent channel guide to find the game I want on TV2, aim to control only TV1, and then click “ok” or “enter” for both. Laziness is the greatest motivator for innovation.

Unconfirmed rumor Mike Woodson turned down a bid by the selection committee to play in the NCAA tourney. He believes IU will be playing in the NBA playoffs in a few months. -
It’s convenient as the AD if you have the BOT or big donors to point to why you’re not good at your job. Just imagine if the money being pumped into the athletic department was used by competent people. Just like our basketball program we’re showing the ability to do less with more.

Some people have been posting about the incompetence of the IU administration for the better part of a decade. It’ll take a lot more than throwing money at this to get over the hump. IU has become irrelevant with their ineptness in the grand scheme of college basketball. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
IUBB vs Nebraska - Friday, 03.15.24 @ 9PM on BTN

We are slow to make decisions which makes it look like we play with little e and e but thinks it’s a solid combo of being extremely poor coach, lack of basketball IQ, and lacking some e and e. Another tourney game we’re getting ran out of the gym against a team with a pulse. Shocked. Best win in any tourney in the Woody era? -

Good couple of wins to close out the season. Hopefully IU makes a run to win the Big Ten and makes it to the Sweet 16 before Woody retires. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Can confirm. I’ve stood in his office on the IU campus and know his backstory. No, I didn’t mean to end up in his office or go there to meet him. I think I might have put two and two together when I saw his desk name plate. He helped connect me with some people at IU when I needed too. -
Absolutely, it’s amazing to hear people in foreign lands hoping we (the US) figure things out quickly so we can lead the right way. They understand their lives are better when the US is stable and leading. What caught me off guard was the ages and nationalities of the people saying this (young, old, Europeans, South Americans, and Asians) I continue to be amazed at people learning English through movies, TV (Friends is by far the #1 I’ve heard) and music. Exporting culture through arts and sports is extremely important at maintaining status. If we can get our ducks in a row we have many who want to continue their support
