I get that, but if they asked while we were still playing, I'd have told them to go pound sand. We have a National Championship to win.   and, if any of the 68 coaches aren't preparing their teams to win a national championship over the next 4 weeks, then they need to find a new profession.

And about 280 other coaches leave us the same or worse.

If it's true they asked and got permission, then it's before the season is over. Maybe we're misunderstanding each other.

It doesn't actually guarantee the scholarship four years, to my understanding. It guarantees them 4 years of paid education at IU,Should they chose to stay and take it, as a non-athlete.

That's hard to say. 19 f's could mean 3 guys with all f's and a couple with 1. We know of 3 players who didn't play D1 again, right? Excluding those going pro.

Sampson had a talented roster and we were poised to have a great year in 07-08 and to return a ton in 08-09 rather than a 6-win roster. We all know what happened. And TC was poised for the same thing, but we had the unfortunate loss of 4 graduating seniors, and Cody and Vic going pro the same off season, that really put the kabash on the resurgence. We're a player away (Bryant?) from really being back in the conversation and headed the right way. I don't want a new coach for the sake of a new coach, I want a grand slam hire, if we're going to make a change.

It just had to do with a lot of parents would defend their son in such circumstances. It's not like he had to drive to Bedford. It's 10 minutes down the street. If your kid came into the game and people started chanting, Gentle Dental Sucks, Gentle Dental Sucks, that might be out of bounds. You can damn well bet the south principle wouldn't allow a chant that says he sucks when his kid enters a game.   I'm not sure any coaches are locked in the facility, preparing for the B1G and not seeing the light of day. If he's got an hour break, he should probably be able to spend it however he wants.   Seriously think if we lose to Northwestern it'll be because he asked the principle of South to get a handle on the student section?
