Oumar Ballo (7'0" C) TO INDIANA

So he gave Indiana a discount for the right to play for a coach that has sent two straight centers to the NBA? Makes damn good sense to me.

People also ask Is Mali good for tourists? MALI - AVOID ALL TRAVEL Avoid all travel to Mali, including the capital, Bamako, due to the threat of terrorism, kidnapping and banditry. If the security situation in Mali deteriorates, the ability of the Embassy of Canada to Mali in Bamako to provide consular services may be limited.

"God forbid?" You are posting exactly that way, and that's fine by me! For real...go for it! God forbid someone disagrees with you tho. ;)

Fair. Maybe PG, shooter, then center for me. Though catch and shoot wings are in greater supply than impact, three year point guards or elite centers.

Like a parent who on December 23rd spies their kid tearfully begging Santa for the coveted toy of the season, and then sees that toy for 10X retail price on FaceBook Marketplace. You betcha.

You sound upset that our NIL collective is helping to attract excellent players. Let me see if I understand: Now that every big-time power 5 program can afford to pay a ton of money legally to players, you believe we should: Have a crappy NIL organization that doesn't allow us to pay as much in NIL as other major programs Use NIL, but lose portal recruiting battles to teams that have just as much money as IU for portal NIL Have as robust an NIL program as any other team, and use it to attract and get commitments from fantastic players Feel free to pick any and all of these as your preferred option(s)

That's how most big time programs were getting their players long before everyone was allowed to play the game. Did we play it a little back then? Probably. Did we play it up to the level of most SEC and ACC schools? Nope; nowhere near that. Did we play it up to the bankroll of our alumni base? Not even a little. Now that it is legal, allowed, and every team is playing it? We are pretty ******* good at it.

    3) Catch and shoot wing(s) So behind #1 and #2, but next up. Carlyle is one for that role. And another after Carlyle would be niiiice.

True. But I also wouldn’t blame us for signing Williams or Payne while Ballo takes his other visits.

Ballo looks like DeAndre Thomas, if DeAndre Thomas had a personal trainer instead of a personal pizza delivery guy.

Exactly. 100% agree that the “cell phone as a distraction” issue is very real! But telling people to keep their cell phones out of their hands and off of the conference room table is one thing and quite appropriate, while collecting them into a bag is another. Kinda interesting in part because Indiana is a one party consent state, so it would be legal to surreptitiously record a board meeting.
  16. Oughta have a stand alone thread ; he is apparently likely to be a Hoosier. Long-armed combo guard. Most services have him as a top 25 portal get. Excellent freshman year at Stanford. From Atlanta - again a Ya connection. Three years eligibility remaining which is outstanding. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/stanford-transfer-combo-guard-kanaan-carlyle-trending-towards-indiana/

It's an example. I work for/with a very no-nonsense leader. If that was proposed to him he'd think it was a clear sign of a leader that doesn't trust or command the respect of his/her team. I think so too.

Only because this likely means it reflects the demographics and culture of the State as a whole: The Media School https://mediaschool.indiana.edu › News & Events › News Aug 31, 2023 — Fifty-nine percent of undergraduate students in The Media School are residents of Indiana and 41% are from out of state.

Hell no. He's not interested - likely an Arky/Calipari move. (And most importantly) He had terrible defensive/court awareness at UK. In my opinion we have better options/fits that are leaning IU. Wagner is more like a fantasy football/gaudy five star rating addition than a winning basketball player.

The journalism profession and the kids at the IDS are not a monolith. They are a variety of people from different backgrounds (though largely raised in Indiana) that have different perspectives, flaws, and abilities.
