Hutch was an incredible person and friend. His willingness to come here and help us build the content side of things was unreal. It honestly showed his character and who he was. Hutch is going to be so greatly missed in this community. Rest In Peace hutch. We all loved you here!

Make no mistake, Billy Preston is multi-talented.
Preston is one of several people referred to as the "Fifth Beatle". At one point during the Get Back sessions, John Lennon proposed the idea of having him join the band (to which Paul McCartney countered that it was difficult enough reaching agreements with four).[6] Preston played with the Beatles for several of the Get Back sessions, some of the material from which would later be culled to make the film Let it Be and its companion album. Preston also accompanied the band for its rooftop concert; the group's final public appearance.[5] In April 1969, their single "Get Back" was credited to "The Beatles with Billy Preston", the only time such a joint credit had been given on an official Beatles-sanctioned release (as distinct from an unsanctioned reissue of some Hamburg-era recordings on which they were the backing group for Tony Sheridan). The credit was bestowed by the Beatles to reflect the extent of Preston's presence on the track; his electric piano is prominent throughout and he plays an extended solo. Preston also worked, in a more limited role, on the Abbey Road album, contributing to the tracks "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "Something".
In 1978, he appeared as Sgt. Pepper in Robert Stigwood's film Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which was based on the Beatles' album of the same name, and sang "Get Back" as the penultimate song.

Yeah I loved Marcelino the first day I saw him at camp. He's huge for a true freshman and really seems to understand where to be on the field. Looking ahead to a bright future, he's the real deal.

Ok, here's the story from the horse's mouth. I certainly owe you guys that much.
In May I found out about an opportunity that would allow me to get back in the newspaper business. CNHI, an Alabama-based newspaper group that owns 13 newspapers in Indiana was looking for an IU writer. Pretty sweet gig including full time travel in basketball season and some football travel, too. They did a national search and had 125 people apply. They interviewed 15, then narrowed it to 5 and then 3 and then June 23 they offered me the job. I accepted it on June 24 and started on July 5. I had told 41 from the beginning that if I ever took a full time job back in the business I'd have to quit Btownbanners. I gave him a head's up about halfway through the process. I also told him if I got the job I would try to help him find a content person. I've given him a good lede and we're waiting to see what happens next.
My work is now syndicated in 13 Indiana newspapers including 9 dailies. They dailies are in Anderson, Terre Haute, Kokomo, Goshen, Logansport, Greensburg, Jeffersonville/New Albany, Lebanon and Washington.
I was sorry to have to bail on you guys. I enjoyed being a part of this last year but the reality was I was doing it for free. When a paid opportunity came along again I opted to get back in the business.
i may still stop by and weigh in at times (at least I would like to if it's ok. Thanks for making me feel welcome here last year.
    All the best,
    Hutch

The following upgrades have been completed and should be live on the site.  Turning focus over to the BtownBanners mobile app next.

    Updates:
    New Features:
When you mouseover the badge showing who liked a post, you will now see a larger list of who liked that post. You can still click to get the full list. Ratings now show half-stars for the average (for example, if one user votes 3 stars and another 4, it will show 3 and a half stars) and there is now an indication if you have rated something. A "Preview" button has been added to the post editor which shows how the post will appear after BBCode processing. Tabs show how the post will appear on desktop, tablet and mobile. Users can now choose to ignore notifications for being mentioned in posts by particular users. You can now filter searches by specific forums/categories. You can now control whether open and click tracking should be used for emails sent by SparkPost. Activity Stream enhancements:
The filter dropdowns now have an "Apply" button for better usability (previously you had to click outside the dropdown). The "Expanded/Collapsed" toggles are now clearer. Hitting back from a clicked item in any activity stream now remembers your position and loaded results. Other enhancements and improvements:
The way dates are formatted can now be customised by language strings. For example, if you want to change the date format to "DD-MM-YYYY" that is now possible. With this change, the new default is US-style ("March 4, 1992") rather than the previous European-style ("4 March 1992"). Advertisements no longer have padding which makes them easier to position in other areas such as headers. When comparing revisions of articles in Pages databases, a new browser-based diff tool is used which is more user-friendly and moves the computation from the server to the user's browser for greater performance.
Broken @mention links. Merging members could cause follow records to be lost. Email digests. Incoming emails to Commerce. Announcements expiring at the wrong time. Error when editing database records or sidebar widget. Error trying to establish external connection to certain servers. Error redirecting from http to https.
Much more to come guys.  Bear with us as we hunker down and get back to work.

The "Gelon's not good enough" drum is constantly beating. I hope I can shed some clarity into the conversation.

    Two points:

You guys are absolutely right: Gelon shows no signs of having the talent level needed to play at a high major program.

RELAX! 13 scholarship athletes in men's basketball is waaaay too many if every one of them goes to a kid that expects playing time. When the "rotation viable" number of scholly players gets past ten or eleven, team chemistry invariably suffers. What happens if Bobby Capo or Jeremy Hollowell thinks he should be playing more and isn't? Transfers, hurt feelings, bad mojo. Now, what happens if Tim Priller or Grant Gelon is expected to be a lovable member of the bench mob? Good times for all, and Freddie McSwain and Devonte Green see the light at the end of the "I'll be in the rotation soon" tunnel.

    And that's the truth.

    This just in:
Trump, after clinching tonight, has stated that he is strongly considering Napleshoosier as his running mate. Think about it:
Adds a key state of Florida to the ticket. Allows Trump to look Presidential in comparison. Naples is far more attractive than Hillary. Nips campaign slogan: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask where the hell the best happy hour drink special is!" I think the Trump/Naples ticket may have won my vote!

I was actually surprised it took him this long to declare. Figured everyone who was at least somewhat a next level prospect, including TB, would at least test the waters. But oh well, at least he has finally declared and can get some good feedback to see where he needs to work on his game.

Won't this pretty much allow him direct contact with scouts? This doesn't seem like anything more than a search for more feedback. I can't imagine a world in which Blackmon is draftable at this time.

It's okay to be optimistic. Not every guy needs to be Yogi Ferrell from 3 land. Durham is a role player
This is another brilliant sign IMO. Durham's father runs the Southern Stampede, IIRC. Aka, IU is in with yet another top Nike team and in Atlanta to top it off
