Right. I imagine Armaan will be on Buie. I hope we extend the pack line out as this team doesn’t seem to drive to shoot. More drive to kick. Nance is a lot like TJD in that it matters how much energy he plays with. Whoever plays softest their team is in trouble. Northwestern can’t afford for Nance to be soft. Offensively, if we limit turnovers, we will be fine. Defensively if we bring energy and help on the long rebounds, we win going away.

Get out on shooters. 1-5 they look to shoot from everywhere. TJD will have his hands full with the wiry Nance. Hope he comes ready.

No? But it depends on your perception of them and us. We could probably pick any team in the country and make a correlation between their program and ours based on our personal feelings.

1. Iowa 2. Illinois 3. Rutgers 4. MSU 5. Wisconsin 6. Michigan 7. IU 8. Purdue 9. OSU 10. Northwestern 11. Maryland 12. Penn St 13. Minnesota 14. Nebraska Three distinct tiers within this. 1-4, 5-9, 10+. 10 and 11 could theoretically make the tournament, but I will stick with historical and say 9 max.

To be fair there is a 5* committing today with IU right there at the end and Peegs hasn’t posted about it on Twitter.

Northwestern is hitting everything it feels like. 1-5 they hit shots. TJD vs Nance will be a battle.

Thanks man. In between high school games and IU we are all missing this year in person, the best I can say is I am just thankful they are playing some games. Just a fun game day in person.

Butler didn’t have fans outside of Fischers or Carmel until Bob Knight left IU. Not wrong to remind them of that every now and again.

While true, that’s why averages have a way of working themselves out. Does anyone truly believe he is a 16% shooter? I know I don’t. Just like LCS wouldn’t expect him to hit 5-7 every night. I wouldn’t either. But I would expect him to be in that 38-40% at the end of the year. He will be more consistent next year, but we will probably see stretches, while not as bad as it was to start the season, it will be a lot of 1/3 or 2/7, followed with a 3 or 4/7. That’s why it’s ridiculous to start throwing out good games, especially when you are already starting with a data point of 19 shots. What purpose does throwing out over 1/3 of your shots prove other than whatever point any person is trying to make? Obviously at that point it isn’t a good point if you have to pretzel low sampled data to make it.

The Supreme Court is going to hear the pay for play arguments. Really interested to see what the outcome is.

Completely agree. My hope he was asked to do so much for his team at one end the other was optional. For IU? That other end is the path to the floor quicker than hitting the 3. Luckily our defensive strategy is based on team concepts. We will know right away if the D plays enough to see the 3.

Hopefully he has a Zeisloft type of impact. If he can knock down 2 threes for me per game it was a fantastic get. We need a 3 and D player. We will see.

I want both but I am a greedy bastard. We would be lucky to get either. Stewart for this team, this year because he is just a better shooter. I think Aminu will score, and play fantastic defense out of the gate. But he will surely benefit from having shooters around him and not an All American big in the lane.

Lander and Romeo. Probably depends on which service you look at for these. I usually go 247 composite. I know Crean was higher on two other 5* before Aminu at one point. I honestly have no clue if that’s changed or not.

Yep, IU and Georgia. Georgia had a scholarship player just go elsewhere. Not sure in this environment how that changes things. In a normal year scholarships are May to May and you can’t gain a spot in the middle of the year. Of course the kid could pay his own way for a semester for a couple of classes. Honestly no clue. Would be huge. We still need shooters. Not sure that’s what he provides up front, but talent is talent at this point.
