Guys, he’s right. We’re all wrong. Every time. The sooner we grasp that the better. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Thing thing is, it was not a loss at all.

Why are we talking about a quad 3 loss. Last time I checked we have none and not likely to get a quad 3 this season
  4. 7 points
Nah. Don’t need excuses for a quad 3 loss. when you are a team that is projected to be a seed 7-10 that’s part of it. Some people just are not pumping the sunshine like you in this case. Some can probably see that a program that has missed the tournament 3 years in row is not above a quad 3 loss. Better programs then IU have had quad 3 losses or worst in years past and this year plenty of teams better then IU have quad 3 losses or worst. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

This is how I see the B1G moving forward Locks 1. Sparty 2. Maryland Work to do in no order 3. Illinois 4. IU 5. Michigan 6. Wisky 7. Iowa 8. Minny 9. Rutgers 10. Purdue 11. Penn St 12. Ohio St B1G record for most bids was 8 so history tells you 4 of the teams from 3-12 are going to fall off. Possible they set a new record and get 9 or 10. Crazy to think 2 of these teams will have to play on the first day of the B1G tourney Have to win the conference tournament 13. Northwestern 14. Nebraska Last 2 months is going to be crazy in the B1G Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I follow his pg’s dad on Twitter. He posts video of the games from floor level. Kid is developing nicely. Maybe the highest ceiling of any player I’ve ever seen. Very good from 3, lockdown defender and out of this world athleticism. Dude can damn near get his head above the rim from a flat footed start. We will like him a lot. I was skeptical of him at first but he’s starting to put it together against some really high level competition.

I don’t give a rat’s @$$ who starts. Far more interested in who’s gonna play 25+ minutes, and who’s gonna finish games. The chances of any of our three incoming freshmen doing either of those things are very slim. The chances of Brunk, Smith, and Franklin all doing those things regularly next year is high.

Watched most of the stream. There was no announcer and the scoreboard was in the corner and pretty much unreadable, but it was a beating. Brewster has a team of D-1 kids and St Paul’s has 1. But Geronimo was the best athlete on the floor, better even than Clarke, just not as skilled or polished. Blocked Clarke twice at the rim, 1 was called a foul but looked clean, and Cross once. One of the quickest leapers I have ever seen. Just remarkable. Also made 3 open 3’’s. Release looks really clean, but is a hair slow at this point. Forced a lot of stuff off the bounce, no surprise given his team, and turned it over maybe half a dozen times. Not worried about that at all. Very impressive tool kit. 1 other thing: the camera wasn’t near the court, but Geronimo looked taller than Clarke, who I’ve always seen listed at 6’7”. Wonder if the kid is still growing.

    Indiana's SOS

This was a popular discussion in mid-December. All Indiana really had to do was avoid bad losses, and we have. I really think this team's better than many believe, even if they're inconsistent. I completely get that and agree with it, but I also believe next season is one in which Indiana can take a gigantic step forward.

So once again are we talking about something that doesn’t concern this team.

8 weeks from today we will have a bracket to look at. Enjoy your Sunday. Cincy up 6 against East Carolina Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Sorry, just don't see leaving a big that averages close to 10/10 per game, provides leadership and plays his heart out every game off of the floor. Brunk stays out there.

Kentucky got beat by Evansville a Quad 4 loss (Not in the B1G) and I’m guessing Kentucky will be just fine when it comes to selection Sunday. No body has a hurt butt just pointing out teams can overcome Q3 and Q4 losses. Especially when a team only has 13 top 50 games remaining. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Brunk will be here next year and will probably better. Archie clearly likes Brunk as a starter. I predict there is no chance Brunk comes off the bench in 2020-21.

Hopefully Rob can lock in on defense against Winston. He seemed to struggle with Mack's speed in the first half and got burned a couple times. Winston is a different type of player, but we're going to need the guards to slow him down. A healthy Rob can really bother him, but who knows how healthy he is right now. Joey Brunk shot 7 for 8 from the field against Nebraska including a couple of nice jump shots. He is shooting 54% from the field. There are times when he is the only IU player who seems to be giving it his all. Meanwhile, Jerome Hunter is shooting 34% from the field, 19% from 3-point range. Based on performance, I suspect Archie will continue to start Brunk this year.

Think the tweet goes pretty damn overboard. He was 5 of 21 from the floor in his last seven games and then goes 3 of 4 and now he's a 'big part of a March run'? Not strange that the same tweet wasn't put up after his last game when he went 0 of 5 from the field. I certainly like Brooks and would like to have had him for two to three years, but I don't see how he really goes very far in solving our current issues. Last three point shot he made was on December 7th. Everything that Brooks is best at are items that our team does decently: athletic, good defense, rebounds well. I'd love to have him because he's certainly another option and better than our bench wings, but calling him a big part of a March run after a pretty good game is hyperbole IMO.

The Big Ten is 7-41 on the road and Nebraska beat Iowa and Purdue at home. Not a meaningless win at all.

It was hideous because we hit a total of two shots outside the paint, not because we lost to a decent Rutgers team.

Damn. If he scored 16 from another gym our 3-point woes were over.

Lol. Big time revelation there. Such a bold and revealing statement. Former players probably had a big meeting recently and collectively surmised that we aren’t where we want to be. Likely a joint statement to be released soon. Though maybe they’ll wait to see if we are still projected to be in the tourney field after a solid road win and right before a huge resume opportunity week before releasing it. Glad to have absorbed such incredible insight.

We should go after the two Columbia grad transfers. One a PG avg almost 20 and 48% from 3 and the big averaged 12 and like 7 rebounds. Both could get into IU easy as grad transfers and fills two needs. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
