Whether we get him or not, I can't think of anything the staff could have done differently. And, Garcia seems to be doing what he needs to do to be certain he makes the right decision. This to me is how the recruiting process should work. From all appearances, he is a high quality kid and whatever the decision I wish him success.

Born and raised in Indiana. My grandfather was a huge sports fanatic and I spent a lot of time in my early years watching Hoosier sports sitting on his lap. He raised me right! (Most of my family has graduated from IU) Aloha is a common greeting in Hawaiian but has a much deeper meaning that can’t always be described with words. Aloha is a feeling towards others of compassion and peace, a connection with the land and its people, and a way of life. After going through so much with my health and the realities of life, Hawaii healed many wounds. I owe so much of myself to Hawaii and the generous people who call it home. From Rick Bozich - March 2017: Northwestern beats Vandy, takes Gonzaga to the wire in NCAA Tournament. Medill: Here comes the recruiting mojo. Can we keep Chris Collins? November 2019: Merrimack 71, Northwestern 61. lol

The problem is we’re talking about holding out a kid, Penny is the one who should be ineligible for the season. Until the NCAA hammers coaches instead of kids, nothing will change.

Hmmmm... I liked it better yesterday when we were all doing our best Hoosier Guy impersonation and saying he is 100% coming to IU. Can we go back to doing that? :(

This has been brought up a number of times but it wasn’t Sampson or the ncaa that destroyed IU it was McRobbie and the Indianan administration- we destroyed our own program. Had we not self reported and self punished and aired our dirty laundry and hired a guy hell bent on starting over from scratch with all walk-ons we would never have sunk to the depths we did. Iu built the blueprint for every other university on what not to do Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Nothing will happen. It’s completely unbelievable what IU endured as a result of Sampson and yet no one else gets punished and when they try, a local judge (who’s probably an alumni) reverses it. Meanwhile Kansas is also playing kids who got paid. Why were phone calls such a big deal if bottom feeder programs like Memphis can pay kids. Rant over, just absolutely tired of the BS

When my mother was pregnant with me she read a story in Reader's Digest about a little boy named Josh who had terminal heart disease. Then when I was born I had a heart murmur. Set up for failure!

I won’t fault the staff if we don’t get him but he is our last shot at an instant impact player so if we had a shot at a few more we might still be in good shape but... We will be fine without him but a kid like this, added to the current roster is the difference between being an 8 seed that has an early exit to a 3 seed that makes a run. We’re close but need more talent Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

only if they follow through and declare him ineligible and make them vacate games he plays in. NCAA: "Wiseman is inelgible." Judge: "Nah." NCAA: "Oh, Okay then."

Jaybob is some what of a mixture of my first and last name, and was given to be in High School baseball by the upperclassman. Of course Hoosier is a given. JaybobHoosier. Some on here who are my closest friends and enemies call me, “Boob,” but don’t know why...... :) Been on the boards for a long time, going back to the Davis era on Scout with the likes of Old Friend, Natty, and a few others. Helped create the original HSN, and moderates several IU forms. Lot of fun. Been a long crazy journey for us crazy Hoosier fans. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    Geometry Hoosier

    User name

I was being recruited to play baseball at IU during the Bob Morgan era. To narrow down the time period, I remember seeing Jamal Meeks in the weight room during my visit. However, because of some bad information from my high school guidance counselor, I didn't take geometry. Well, no geometry meant no IU. So it's Geometry Hoosier. No worries though, everything turned out for the best. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
