I'm not at 100% yet but I'm getting close to saying He'll be a Hoosier.

With all this optimism about Dawson Garcia, it seemed something was missing and it dawned on me - where is Hoosier Guy?

I like the pictures of his mom wearing IU gear that she purchased. I like the fact that he canceled his Marquette visit and will make a decision with us as the last visit. I like our chances a lot.

NOT UNTIL WE ACTUALLY GO BOWLING!
  6. 7 points
Because we’re used to waiting until the final game of the regular season to see if we’re bowling. Now that we have it wrapped up in October we’re unsure what to do. I’d rather think about beating Northwestern at home to guarantee a wining season. Go into PSU with our hair on fire and a “throw everything and the kitchen sink” at them mentality. I want to see us compete. Have a chance to beat meat chicken at home late in the fourth. Then go up to west “smells like an *******” and embarrass them to get to, at least, eight wins and a solid bowl to show to recruits. This season still has the chance to go down as the season we look back in 10 years and say that’s when it changed. This could be the turning point of when IU went from a laughing stock to the middle tier of the Big Ten and a respectable program. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Really hope all the positives surrounding the visit come to fruition. We really need Garcia, and would be a dynamic duo with TJD! Heck, think of him playing with Phin, Hunter, Al, and TJD!!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Why are we talking about next year, like this year is over already?

I love the future talk about our beloved Hoosiers! All of it is positive and a delight to be reading this morning. But Northwestern right now fellas. They'll need the support of their fans cheering them onward to victory at Memorial stadium this Saturday. We show up in the stadium and let them know just how much we appreciate what they've been doing then others (cough cough recruits) will take notice. Let's build something together.

Haven’t cooled on Furst. Long way to go. Virginia, Purdue and IU are in good position. Kaufman is the better player in my opinion Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

My brain read that as National Championship. My unbridled realism doesn’t mean I don’t have hopes

Fire or ‘Way to Go!’ Tom Allen?

This crow doesn't taste too bad considering why I'm eating it. Job well done for our beloved Hoosiers! Now it's on to hosting Northwestern to compete for win number 7.

    Hats off to Peyton Ramsey

I’ve been as critical of Ramsey as anyone but I’m really happy to have him. He played about as perfect of a game as we could’ve asked yesterday and I’m even more thrilled to have DeBoer. His ability to craft a gameplan that fit Ramsey so perfectly was very refreshing to see. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Time for @ALASKA HOOSIER to take his "Bowl" shower. His wife is grateful of Tom Allen!

Everyone that gets an immediate waiver gets it due to being lied to or in a situation that is harmful or out of their control. That is supposedly changing due to the enforcement being iffy at best from sport to sport. From ESPN this year: Schools now must prove an athlete's transfer is "due to documented extenuating, extraordinary and mitigating circumstances outside of the student-athlete's control" in order to have a waiver approved, according to the updated guidelines obtained by ESPN. Previously, guidelines required just "documented, mitigating circumstances," a phrase that many think led to an increase in approvals of waiver requests. I guess the Native American groups forced Illinois to change their nickname to the 'Aggressors'. :)

General takeaways from the article is basically a lot of what has been said on here: -Thinks too much and dwells on mistakes, notes a sequence against Illinois where he tried to talk to Archie mid play about a mistake on a previous play that led to another mistake and back to back Illini 3’s - HS coach said he had concerns with him consistently “grinding” when nobody is pushing him - Bruiser is “his coach” and they’ve had plenty of discussions and Justin has a ton of questions - Changed his shot to get a higher realease, but went too far with it and spent this summer trying to get closer to his HS jumper and rebuild his confidence - Bruiser says his next step offensively isn’t only about developing his shot, it’s about finding and doing what he is best at offensively.
