This thread seems to be polarizing. Kind of odd that anyone is upset about it really. 1) some people clearly are interested in this kid and his development whether Archie wants him or not 2) don't have to read every thread. There are a number of threads that I don't even open because it's either something I'm not invested in or I already know the basic tone of the whole thing. I agree on repetition/beating the dead horse but if you want to start regulating that then you'll have to eliminate about 25% of posters here. Talked to a friend of mine about Love ages ago who has coached in the Bradley Beal Elite/St Louis Hawks system for years. He told me at the time that he thought a UNC offer would be very tough to beat. But that was probably 18 months ago, so fwiw.

If he was consistently 38-40% I would take that over streaky and think he would be our most important offensive weapon. I definitely agree with you on Phinisee though overall. For our overall success he has to stay healthy and on the court. Hunter to me is just huge. At the scrimmage last year he hung with Romeo punch for punch and they were going at each other. If he were healthy last year I feel we would be looking at him as a first round pick this year. Mainly from the things I saw and heard. I don’t disagree per se about that but think we shouldn’t count green out. He was without a doubt our only good 3 point shooter last year. Streaky but overall good.

If Hunter is healthy and plays at a level many think he is capable I believe this team goes from outside looking in to solidly in the field. His versatility would allow Phin, Green, and Durham to hold down the back court while bringing Anderson and Franklin along slowly while pushing Smith to become consistent on the wing/big wing. I really don't get this thread. Generally, we are discussing players CAM is actively recruiting or at least showing interest in. I watched Brown play at least three times last year online. Fun player to watch and a great shooter and passer. At this point, CAM apparently is not interested. No amount of lobbying on a message board is likely to change that. From my perspective this seems excessive and a little cringe worthy. And, I understand that I am free to ignore this whole discussion so if it annoys me, that's on me.

There is no current reason to believe we will be pursuing Jalen Blackmon or Luke Brown. They are pretty much the same player, though Blackmon may have an edge with his IUBB family connections, and Blackmon didn’t bounce away from the Indiana Elite 2021 highest level team.

Evans did have a shot that seemed like it was always going in but If Galloway plays half as tough and determined as Evans did then IU will be in good shape during his 4 years. The thing I will always remember about Evans is when he dislocated his shoulder and then forced it back in during a game. I think he did that a couple of times that season.

I'm not a big fan of bashing Hoosiers.

Cody Latimer is likely to get a real chance to prove himself early in the season. Shepherd has a broken thumb, Golden Tate is facing a PED suspension, and Cory Coleman tore an ACL.

Seems to me from what I have heard is that Schilling knew a lot of people. Which is great to get in the door but he wasn’t the guy to close the deal. So once Archie and Ostrom met all the local king makers they didn’t really need schilling that much.
