I never thought he was coming to Bloomington, but the fact that he chooses LSU despite what has gone on, really makes me question why I bother caring anymore. Kind of the icing on the cake for me to be honest.

It’s also a very misleading stat. Jeremiah Francis? We barely recruited him. Jalen Lecque? Sure, we extended an offer but understood very quickly he was in it for the money. Brandon Newman? We had our pick of either him or Armaan, but we weren’t going to take both. While I believed we should’ve landed one of Harris, Quinones, Carton, or Bouknight, 2/22 isn’t terrible when a “great” class could have simply been 3/22. We may very well have roster deficiencies next year, but this is not a thread about that. Looks like we’re all but set for the coming season. For roster eligibility: Four bigs: DDavis, senior; JBrunk, junior; RThompson, sophomore; and TJDavis, freshman. Three wings: JSmith, junior; DAnderson, sophomore; and JHunter, freshman. Four guards: DGreen, senior; ADurham, junior, RPhinisee, sophomore; and AFranklin, freshman. I like that balance ALOT.

Smoke? This recruitment has been on fire and is now ashes. 007 made it clear a long time ago that this recruitment was dirty and IU didn’t want to play the games that were being played. His final schools included the dirtiest of the B level programs and he chose a school that should be getting the death penalty. Was told this a few weeks ago. Know him, the family and of course he played at my alma mater Edgewood. I mentioned this to a few people a couple of weeks ago.

Didn’t want to lose any respect for The Watfords but it’s kinda hard not to. Not because of Indiana but the LSU move is just ridiculous. It’s almost laughable. I really can’t hate on the Watfords or any other top recruit who goes with the highest bidder. We’ve seen thru the academic cheating scandal and now thru the FBI investigation that the NCAA will not do anything. So why not take the $ now? The chances of the majority of these top recruits getting paid in the league are get narrower as the competition gets tougher. Don’t hate these players, hate the game(NCAA).

I was listening to Fox Sports radio this morning...they were saying how boring the playoffs have been this year. In my opinion- I love it! New teams outside of Golden State. No Lebron. Honestly makes me more interested in the NBA going forward.

Let's get this started. I will keep repeating that the Big Ten Tourney has zero impact on our NCAA seeding. We are locked into a two seed and there are no 'higher' two seeds and its entirely Regional based. Whether we go 0-2 or 4-0 and win the thing we will be travelling (most likely to Louisville or Nashville) and have no chance to host despite what others are saying. Now that we have that out of the way, it would be cool to pull the double and win the Big Ten Tourney to go with the regular season title as we did in 2013 and 2014. First of the level of success in this tourney we have is entirely up to us. It is nearly impossible to hit a HR in Omaha, so if we start swinging for the fences we will lose and fly out to track each time. If we compensate for that, as Mercer is good at and just taker solid swings for the gap and clean singles as we did against Rutgers we have a great chance. Starting with Iowa, they are talented but have completely hit the skids lately. They have scored a lot recently, but they're starting pitchers who have been pretty good all year, have fallen apart the last two weeks. We will most likely face Cole McDonald their ace, who after a solid year has been a train wreck his last two starts, lasting no more than five innings and giving up three and four runs to MSU and Maryland. Before that he was decent but still giving up exactly two runs in his previous starts. Given Milto has not been exactly perfect either lately we need to face someone who has not been great either. McDonald limited us to two runs in Bloomington but Iowa evened it after Milto tired in ninth after being nearly perfect. We then won it on a walk off single in the bottom half and dominated the rest of the series. If we do get to McDonald, Iowa's bullpen has a lock down close and 4 decent relievers who don't pitch that often. The other bullpen guys who pitch regularly are not great. Also, really good for us, is McDonald while he shut us down the first time, is a righty and averages under a strikeout an inning. I will not preview our next opponent (either Minnesota or Nebraska which I am not thrilled about for different reasons) until after Iowa. Game is at 6pm on BTN. I will be at home for just this first game, but packing for a long trip the next day so I might chime in but certainly cannot provide play by play.

My frustration is why can we not put together a friggin complete roster? We either have zero presence down low or cant shoot the three. Get a couple guards in here that can shoot! Its the obvious need.

I'm with pumpfake. I've become very jaundiced over what a Barnum & Bailey circus recruiting has turned into. Here's my top 100; here's my top 99; here's my top 98, etc. That atmosphere plus the stench the FBI investigation confirmed exists, Hooker U, University of No Classes and the list goes on and the Great Oz (NCAA) just buries its head further into the sand. Bah Humbug on the whole process.

The Warriors play the game with so much heart. The talent blooms from it.

I don't think anything will change. Only think that will make them change is if they start to lose viewership. I'm getting older and I'll have less time to watch sports. I'd rather watch a sport that has at least some integrity to their game. The start of all this was when NOTHING happened to UNC after their academic scandal. Louisville, Kansas, Duke, UNC, LSU, and others should be banned from postseason play.
