IU Rutgers Baseball: BIG TEN CHAMPIONS
ALASKA HOOSIER and 10 others reacted to Aaron for a post in a topic
Neb wins! Well that was kind of dangerous tonight for a while but suddenly a Big Ten title is well within our grasp. We just need to beat Rutgers two more times and have Neb win one of the two tomorrow for outright league championship. Also can clinch a share with a split vs. Rutgers if Neb wins both tomorrow. Also a win tomorrow or Sat locks us into no worse than a tie for second no matter what happens. As for our game offense continues to be much better in series openers recently and once again Rutkowski melted down when he faced a good team for Rutgers. My only concern is Milto continues to struggle and when we get into postseason if he gives up five runs to anyone we have no chance. More so to get roughed up that badly against that atrocious Knights offense is not a great sign. All in all though everything worked out tonight perfectly. I will be at Bart next two days so will only be able to post recaps. As I said this is my last time on the board providing updates this year in game and I would like to thank everyone for following along. Previews and recaps will continue pre and postgame by me as IU hopefully goes for bigger and better things rest of this weekend and in postseason play. -

I wonder about this excuse as well. Especially when there's been a lot of excuses. How many years do we have to wait until we can expect success again? When Archie came we heard an excuse that his hands were tied due to apr and administration and he wasn't allowed to make any roster changes. Then you realize that Gelon was dumped. Then you realize that he could have let any of the recruits out of their loi without penalty and you wonder. You hear that we didn't get McKinley Wright because Archie's hands were tied, but you realize they weren't. Who knows if any of these roster changes would have mattered, but it seemed to be an excuse. Then you hear an excuse about not being able to get transfer players and wonder about it too. Just win man. Just effin win. Until you do, there will be rightful doubt. -

For the posters that have followed recruiting closely for the last 6 years on this board here is a name from the past for you Source: Southern Utah's Dwayne Morgan was granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA. Probably my 1st time when I was in high school. A few years ago my cousin-in-law was in the area who played golf in college, so I treated him. He scored in the high 70s, I was able to make a few double bogey saving putts thanks to generous pin placements. :) -

Ashley K's to end inning but IU leads 2-0 after 2. Also Michigan took a 1-0 lead on Nebraska in top 1 but could of been much worse as UM had 2nd and 3rd no outs before their starter but two k's and pop out to limit damage. -

1 pointI am too and rain just delayed that as well. Difference is everything is grass in Cincy so their field gets much sloppier. Trade off is turf leads to more risk of injury and weird bounces but its much easier to play through weather and resume after. In a northern climate turf is a must for college with a Feb. starting season if you don't want a huge number of early games cancelled.

Thanks, Aaron. I'm watching Cubs at Reds where everything but locusts are coming down and they're trying everything to keep the game going. -
1 pointmound is turf or 'carpet' as you called it as well so that needs no protection either. Once it stops raining and the 30 min from last lightning strike passes we are good to go and the field will be no worse for wear. Sun out now it looks like from broadcast.

Y'all are missing what's hidden in plain sight: Joey Brunk working on his perimeter footwork and deep shooting sees him emerge as a guard/center hybrid. -

My top 5 for Michigan: Billy Donovan- Think he could really take the job. I don't think the NBA is for him. He is still really young in the coaching world. Chris Beard-No chance but worth the call. Tony Bennett-Again, no chance but worth the call. Thad Matta-Could be an interesting hire. His last few years at OSU weren't great. But he had a good 8 year run similar to Beilein. Nate Oats-Doubt he leaves 'Bama but crazier things have happened. If none of these guys take the job I hire within on an interim basis. See who is out there next year. They are too good of a program to take a step backwards. I see Porter Moser's name attached. 1 NCAA tournament appearance in 15 years..no thank you. -

I agree with your point, the NCAA, ACC, Duke, all the broadcast partners, etc. all made millions off of Zion Williamson. That's absolutely accurate and true. But at the same time, Zion himself also made tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars off the exposure and branding he received by playing college basketball. He would not have been the #1 pick if he came right out of high school and the branding and exposure he received playing college basketball will garner him a $100 million shoe deal which would not have happened if he was allowed to go the NBA right out of high school, as well as other endorsements. Zion Williamson benefited incredibly by playing college basketball. -

Your point about Zion brings up a point that is related. 1 of the reasons I want rid of 1 and done is I feel having these stars is bad for the league. I really feel that the superstar discount is beginning to get out of hand in officiating. Both Pro and college.
