If I was gonna put a defensive liability on the floor it would probably be Damezi. We know he can shoot the three.

Its absolutely crazy to turn on Archie already. Did you expect him to flip this roster in one year? Every player attached to Crean is bad including Morgan at times. He brought in three guys (Rob, Hunter, Thompson) that would be playing significant minutes but have missed part or all of the season so far. I see nothing from a coaching standpoint that concerns me yet. This staff is light years ahead of anything Crean had.

Pipe down Debbie - there's plenty of room for improvement with decent and increasing talent which is a great opportunity for a young coach to make a name for themselves.

    So some concerns I’m having...

It’s how we work these days... Alabama loses the national championship game and everyone starts talking about how Saban has lost the reign. Everything is so ‘NOW’ related and few have any patience to let anything grow. I’m not sure Coach Miller is the answer and I’m getting less and less excited about IU basketball, but we must give him a chance. If we beat PU on Saturday, we won’t be any closer to the answer. The answer takes time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That’s something I never thought about. Crean was such a “Harbaugh” that you never would even know that he had his own family.

I think losing at Maryland after playing in the first have is part of the reason we looked like a hot mess against Nebraska. Nebraska isn’t a bad squad but we should absolutely compete with them at home. We let one loss turn into two. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Edit: good teams don’t do that. It’ll be interesting to see the energy level against pu

Be patient, I know I know people said this with Crean. Story time... I had a boss who was “cool” with all who worked for him. He held our nose to the grindstone but did so much for us that we were willing to work hard and reap the rewards. He left and the next boss was detached and couldn’t care less what we did. It was awesome for the people that abused it because the boss didn’t like confrontation. He cycled out and we got a new boss that kicked our backside into high gear whether we liked it or not. A good friend and roommate of mine wanted to kill the dude. We got the shop humming along but paid for it with extra time and “mandatory fun.” Life was terrible for some and bad for everyone else and then... the “big picture” was revealed. People went from hating to go into work to showing up early so they could complete their work and training in order to get off early to go to the beach. People started asking when we were going to have our “mandatory fun.” People started liking each other again. The shop was getting things done and people were having more time off. Crazy concept. The point is there is still a culture shift going on. When I see the camera move to Archie I see him puzzled as to why people are still doing stupid stuff. I don’t think that was the same at Dayton. Why? Because they knew the standard and lived up to it without having to be carried along. It takes time. It sucks. Nobody is happy. However, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. That light starts with recruiting better players that are brought into a system with upperclassmen that set that standard. There are better days ahead and I believe Archie will be here for a long time and many here will be happy he was hired. Getting Jackson-Davis and Brooks will help but that won’t cure all ills. Smith, Phinisee, Durham, and Green will need to take on leadership roles to take a step forward next season. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

UVA is one of my favorite programs to watch over the last few years. I thoroughly enjoy their brand of basketball. Kyle Guy would have been an Alford-level legend here.

Blackhawk trailed through the first 3 quarters but made a 4th quarter run and won 58-54. I had Furst with 23 pts. on 10-13 FG; 3-7 FT; 10 reb; 1 asst; 4 TO; 1 stl; 1 blk. 2of his 4 TO's came when he shuffled his feet in the paint before making his move to the bucket.

Disappointing part for me was we cut the 18 point lead to 3 then quit again.

Virginia Tech gets a run-out after a U.Va. miss. Jack Salt, a 6-10 center, sprints down court and prevents the layup. He is called for a foul, but man, he busted his a$$ to get back. And his team is up by 24 points. ... Flashback to last night: Justin Smith throws a pass along our baseline to a Nebraska player. Smith stares for a couple seconds, then jogs back down court. Meanwhile, Nebraska missed a dunk or layup (can't remember which) on its break but because nobody from IU is there, easily gathers the rebound and gets two points. ... Sorry to be gushing so much over U.Va., but this is what you want a college team to be. It plays with hustle and heart and smarts -- things we were totally lacking last night. I'm even more embarrassed now than I was 24 hours ago.

His grandparents are IU season-ticket holders. If we'd had a coach who behaved normally at the time, we'd probably have something resembling a shooter on our roster right now.

Kyle Guy is so amazing to watch. He knows how to get himself open and when he does, he doesn't miss. If his defender leaves him for just a second, he will strike. Such a smart player. Still just kills me we let him get away. He's EXACTLY what we need now.

Not like Fitz is hitting alot while out there and the defensive difference does not equate to the hustle, will to perform, exuberance for a chance to be on the floor not to mention more game time experience. Are we losing that much? From what I see and believe alot others...no.

One concern I have in particular is how obvious it is that this team puts points on the board when we move the ball well, but we hardly ever do that! We stand around or dribble way too much. Move that ball, and good things happen! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I haven't read all the comments, nor will I likely get around to it. With that said, those that believe Moore is of poor quality and less capable than certain "unnamed players", please consider the fact Moore was the only player with a positive (+/-) last night. Yes, I know that doesn't tell all there is to tell, but it's at least a starting point for measuring a player's impact on a game. Yes, if Fitzner gets on a hot streak shooting again I'll be more in favor of him getting more minutes. Until then, he's not proven anything to me outside of a couple hot shooting nights early in the season that he is any better than Moore. Neither Fitzner nor Moore logged a lot of minutes last night, but with the time given to each Moore once again had more of an impact. I'm not saying Moore will become a great player with more time and experience, but I'm in agreement with some on this forum that maybe it's time he has a chance to show whether he can be or not. Anyone interested purely on a statistical standpoint would agree. Evan Fitzner Clifton Moore Games - 17 Games - 9 Player Efficiency Rating - 13.1 Player Efficiency Rating - 23.9 True Shooting Percentage - .547 True Shooting Percentage - .576 eFG% - .527 eFG% - .700 ORB% - 3.9 ORB% - 16.0 DRB% - 17.4 DRB% - 32.1 TRB% - 11.4 TRB% - 24.9 AST% - 6.4 AST% - 14.6 STL% - 1.5 STL% - 3.5 BLK% - 1.4 BLK% - 4.4
