Help me understand. He "kills us" with stupid, unforced turnovers?" He has 19 on the season. Not even 2 per game; and he plays 28 minutes every game. Indiana would have lost to Duke if he had zero TO's that night. In the other game IU lost, he had zero turnovers. (By the way, he had zero in each Big Ten game, also) So how does he "kill us?" Every college player turns the ball over. Green has 2 fewer turnovers in 86 fewer minutes. Juwon Morgan has 2 MORE turnovers and handles the ball far less. Langford also has more turnovers. I don't know what you're really trying to say, but Phinisee's TO's are pretty normal and average in the overall scheme of things. Given what we've seen in recent years, I'll take a freshman point guard with a 1.9:1 A/TO ratio. Especially when he also averages almost 3 RPG and shoots 41% from the 3-point arc. He has not "killed us" at all and his mistakes have not "cost us" yet. Every team and every player turns the ball over. His numbers aren't outstanding in any way as it relates to TO's. Why single him out?

Interesting comment by Romeo here. I've always thought he'd be one and done, but I'm starting to wonder just a lil about what he'd do if Keion committed too.

Great, I'll dump that in the same bucket as the rest of your insight, such as: "I always wanted mack. He wil [sic] be a stud coach." -- posted during the UofL game while we were losing. "Rob just kills us many times." -- posted towards the end of the UofL game, before Rob won the game for us (again). "No reason the [sic] schedule such tough games in the presrason [sic]. We loss [sic] them amyway [sic]." -- posted during the UofL game, before we won it

Congrats!!! Greatest thing in my life are my wife and son, mean the world to me. Love everything about being a dad, and also love knowing I'm raising another die-hard IU fan :)

Love how we're knocking on players that have been with our team for only roughly 4/5 months and we've written them off as if there's no room for improvement for them over the course of the rest of the season...

I like seeing the introspection in his free throw comments. After the last regime you'd be forgiven for thinking that wasn't allowed. He at least recognizes there's a problem and the highlighted quote below sounds like he recognizes it's a trend. "I thought I was a pretty good free throw shooter, but I’m not a good free throw coach." He wasn't a bad free throw shooter either, about 85%.

I've watched that JSmith dunk a few times now. He definitely looks back at Morgan who got hit. Doesn't matter really but makes me wonder if it lit a fire under him before that dunk. Then the lady commentator said Jmo was on the bench and told Smith, Al and Green that somebody needs to step up and be a 3rd scorer. I'm going to miss Morgan when he's gone. Want a run this year just for him battling through everything over the years, for IU.

Bruiser picked a good game to watch R. J. Davis. 29 pts, 8 assts, 5 reb although his team lost 84-75.

My first thought was exactly that, why wasn’t he wearing a helmet. I am sure it doesn’t mean anything though. Just an 18 year old boy being an 18 year old boy. I am sure I would have been doing the same thing. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Thanks for the link. Just feel terrible for Race and Jerome. Hard to think what this team would be like if both of them were 100% this season. Get well soon guys!

IU now 25 in the AP. A little, actually a lot confused why a 2 loss Marquette who we beat, and a 2 loss Wisconsin (who Marq beat) are ranked ahead of us.

Forest Park beaten by Evansville Bosse 69-59. Sophomore center Curt Hopf had a monstrous game with 22 points and 15 rebounds — all while battling Kiyron Powell, a player who has a few inches on him as well as an extra year of varsity experience.

Is it me or does Robert Phinisee always seem to be in the right place at the right time during big time situations? The last two or three games I have noticed #10 making some really important plays during key moments in the game. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Lander another solid performance as he finished with 23 points (8-of-19 shooting) and six rebounds but Jasper was able to have a plethora of solid outings on their own as they defeated the Panthers 58-52 sending Reitz to their first loss of the season.
