Not really. One “insider”says it’s a close second and other “insiders” say it isn’t a close second and would be shocked if he want anywhere besides IU. At the end of the day it’s a decision for a 17 year old kid so nothing is going to be a 100 % lock no matter how bad some fans want to hear that. What I personally do is gather all the information on the recruitment and come up with my own conclusions. Big problems at Kansas which could lead all the way to the top. My biggest question is how are any of these players that received extra benefits still eligible? Discussing Zion Williamson demands? Duke and/or Nike must have met them so the NCAA should investigate him and Duke? I would love to see UK, Duke, UNC and Kansas all go down. They have excelled in this cheating culture with championships and Indiana has not. This explains how we haven’t gotten these top players and still looking for banner 6. Kinda puts extra calls which decimated our program into perspective.

Except for Vandy- their pro style coach is enough to attract top talent there. There is a video of his work during a time-out that proves his coaching chops. Top notch.

Another another thing that will deter is the popularity of D1 basketball players with the women-folk. It’s a much more appreciated status and high quality endeavor on a college campus than in Sioux Falls or Fort Wayne as a GLeague guy that isn’t old enough to get into a bar.

Another thing that may deter one n dones going to the G League is that they'll be facing grown grown men without any guaranteed playing time compared to most likely getting starters minutes and making a highlight reel playing vs kids their own age where they may have 6-8 tough games a year.
