The Fire Alarm Strobe behind Jake on the wall is required to be mounted at a minimum of 80" to the center of the lens above the finished floor per ADA but no higher than 96" So looks like he is somewhere between 6'-4" and 7'-6".

UGA also received a commitment from #67 Kyle Sturdivant to end the night. Crean gets his top 70 backcourt in one night. Cue the natives... lol

Ohio State fired Jim Tressel, who went 106-22 as their coach and was 9-1 against Michigan, because he lied about his players selling their own possessions. They also fired Woody Hayes and John Cooper. Ohio State is not afraid to fire successful coaches. It's one of the best jobs in the country, and they normally have their pick of the lot whenever it opens up. Programs at that level have no problem canning a coach because they know they'll be back at some point. It's the mid-level schools that have had the majority of their success under one coach that are less likely to willingly fire that coach (Michigan State).

Off the board to Virginia. Virginia has landed the commitment of 2019 four-star Kadin Shedrick, he first reports to Stockrisers. He just broke down his decision to join Tony Bennett.

Three guys listed at 6'10", three guys listed at 6'8", three guys listed at 6'6", and not a single player under 6'0". That kind of size hasn't been wearing the Cream and Crimson in quite some time, or so it seems to me.

I'm not sure I would call Newman second tier regardless of his "star" rating. He is a foundational multi-year player with a very desirable skill set and good size. Players like Newman equal program consistency over time.

I don't know about you guys, but free Buffa Louie's wings for 4 years would have sealed the deal for me.

Maybe we can update the "Moye Blocks Boozer" to "McRoberts Blocks Williamson"?

Yes true, but it’s always nice to know if he is trying to pickup a scholarship from a smaller school, moving closer to home, or just simply giving it up Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Throughout his collegiate career Evan Fitzner has consistently been listed as 6'10". Here is Evan standing next to Jake (no idea who the young lady is between them lol). You be the judge of Jake's height:

Honestly, I really don't take that much stock in these rating systems. While they are fun to see and what not it's really about the coaches ability to see player potential/skill set along with player development. And the development part is on both the player and coaching staff. A couple of good recent examples are Cody Latimer (3* with only one offer) and David Kenney (4* with 12 offers). I really like what I'm seeing so far this year in regards to strength and speed development. Now it's up to the other coaches to hone in on their specialty to develop player position. It's seems like a completely different vibe with the entire program this year and I hope it translates into more wins on the field.
