If he is gone I'll give Ohio State this, they will have shown (again) that they have the decency to fire incredibly successful coaches when any scandal above a mild infraction has plagued their program. Michigan State on the other hand runs a vile athletic department and deserves their comeuppance. -

Urban Meyer looking the other way at miscreant behavior? Shocking. The dude looked the other way so much at Florida he had to take a year off to have his vertebrae fused back together. He's lucky he's not a freaking human bobble head by now. -

Urban could have simply admitted that he knew about the "allegations" (which is what they were at the time) but couldn't speak about it. Instead he chose to flat out lie about the whole thing and made it look worse. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

It's a university not a pro-sports team. I think Indiana has their priorities properly aligned. -

Well he was placed on Leave, more than what MSU has done. To me there should be an unquestionable zero tolerance policy for stuff like this. If you touch a child, rape someone, or beat your wife you should instantly be banned for life at the bare minimum not counting prison time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
3 pointsMSU paved the path for him on this one. If you pretend nothing happened, it just goes away. Izzo and Dantonio both hid several rapes, and they're standing strong. Domestic violence should be easy to wiggle out of in comparison. Both situations are awful, but you know what to expect.

Since the 90s. The 90s were the last time this program had any semblance of consistency. -

I don’t see how Wilson could get the job. Wasn’t player abuse alleged at Indiana? That would not do well in light of recent events at OSU. -

Kentucky and professional -- isn't that an oxymoron? DJ Jeffries' father @CoreyJeffries10 on our show: "We talked with Kentucky (about the decision to de-commit), and it kinda shocked me. They were kinda unprofessional. They didn't handle the news the way I expected them to handle it, being professionals." -

Those sports are irrelevant. Sinking millions of dollars into them, while having your men's basketball team, your school's marque team, using a middle school looking locker room is absurd. This mentality is why the football program has been a joke for decades and basketball has missed the tournament more than its made it the past decade. I expect better from my university. -

I disagree. The players really seem to like him, he fits well with the school and fanbase, and we didn't go get a rental coach like Brohm who is going to jump in a year or two once a bigger and better program comes around. I liked the confidence play here. Besides, if we had done a coaching search, we probably would have hired a coaching search firm, and then everyone would gripe about costs. Regardless, if we see the results on the field, no one will have any reason to care about how a coaching search was/wasn't done. 2018-2019 will be interesting! -

Your post was about revenue. You didn't say anything about wins. The other 22 sports all lose money. It doesn't matter how much money you pump into them, they're still going to lose money. It's the case across the country. So, it's completely rational to pump money into the sports that can make you money. There's a ton of room for growth for IU football. They could make much more money than they currently do.Unfortunately, the university doesn't care enough to make it happen. Don't take it from Iugradman or me, take it from this guy: "Tom Allen is a good man. A no-nonsense coach stuck in a football program whose administration doesn’t care enough to want to get better." -
