(2019) PF Matthew Hurt to Duke

The visit went well, according to the new Rabjohns article. Matthew's father, Rich, said that he thinks the biggest thing is the message that Matthew could go to Indiana and write his own story. He said that he thinks for them it is the amount of freedom he would have, and the ability to be the focal point. He also mentions that Matthew spent some time with Trayce Jackson-Davis at the final four. In the article, Rich also talks about another positive for IU in Race Thompson and how both families have a good relationship. They said that they are very impressed with how the Thompson's speak of the staff and the strength coach on the development of Race from a body and skill standpoint. Rabjohns says that Ostrom and the Hurt's talk pretty much daily, and that there is no timetable for a decision.

He couldn't even carry his HS team to state That's another gem from the Vandy Village(too small to be a nation)

Yea, from what I could tell he has 4 predictions and they were all players to Vanderbilt. I'm not sure what makes him an 'expert' rather than just a VU fan. He's the 'Hoosier Guy' of Vanderbilt it would seem. Maybe we should lobby to get our "Guy" a crystal ball vote!

In hindsight, sure easy decision. But as an event planner, putting a few thousand people needlessly at risk for a scrimmage that doesn’t matter when storms are forecast to blow through? Not a chance. Sorry, no grounds to fire Fred for this one.

Corey Evans • BasketballRecruiting.Rivals.com BURLINGTON, NJ – Rob Brown and his Team Final travel program again hosted one of the top kick-off events of the spring, that being The Scrimmage. Bringing in a slew of top flight units from the northeast corridor, a number of Rivals150 prospects showed out, displaying their immense upside and immediate value at the next level. We give out our awards of the day highlighted by the dominance of ever-improving top-50 junior Isaiah Stewart has been a model of consistency throughout his high school playing career and after capping off his first year at the lauded La Lumiere basketball program, the New Yorker looked his best yet back near his home state. Dominant in the interior, Stewart has shades of a younger Elton Brand within his game. More explosive than in the past, there are not many more college ready prospects in the high school ranks than Stewart. His rebounding prowess is as good as it gets and so is the mindset that he brings to the floor each time out. While he has begun to develop his left hand around some, his finishing skills, motor, rim running nature and intangibles remain elite, hence why practically everyone in America wants him. Today, April 15, Stewart will host Washington’s Mike Hopkins and Indiana’s Archie Miller for in-home visits, as Duke’s Coach K was in for him last week. A cut list is in the nearby future, though the competition for the top-35 post is as heated as can be.

They don't realize this is Indiana and our high school basketball teams know how to play. And, Warren Central who did win the state finished as the 11th best high school team in the country. I never hear of a recruit from Indiana "who was poorly coached in high school"

Spitballing here, but I believe CAM is aiming for a 4-man class in '19 with the following make up: Lead Ball Handler (Pick One) -DJ Carton (I expect a strong push for him over the summer) -Additional Names from Summer Evaluation Period Small Wing (Pick One) -Brandon Newman (In my mind the Staff's Top Small Wing) -Armaan Franklin (maybe a higher priority from other teams e.g. Purdue, Butler) -Alex Hemenway (would jump at an offer if provided) Big Wing/Post (Pick Two) -Trayce Jackson Davis (I think Trayce is the staff's top priority here, but all four will get a lot of love & attention over the summer...if we miss on 3 I could see us getting involved with Mason Gillis from New Castle) -Keion Brooks -Trendon Watford -Matthew Hurt Again these are just my predictions based on coach visits, interviews, inside-out recruitment strategy, etc. How do you guys see '19 shaking out?

By definition 1 and 0 are different If you have one dominant player truly dominant it helps the others around him. Romeo will get his shot against any single defender and with 2 there will be an open man Besides what do you think Al, Devonte, Smith and Morgan will be working on this offseason. Not to mention Phinisee is no slouch.

Crystal Ball just updated. But I don't see the new prediction anywhere on the list of picks for Romeo or the latest crystal ball picks nationally yet. 71% IU 14% Vandy 14% Kansas

Guys, all RealIU is saying is that there are scouts that are genuinely interested in Juwan. Just because he’s not in the top 100 list created by scouts who want to put their opinion out there does not mean there aren’t scouts who are interested. If you think you have an under the radar guy in your sights, you’re not putting him on some top 100 list. We see this every year with the draft. This is another completely plausible theory. Michigan State's issues likely help with Brooks. I believe Indiana is TJD's choice. Watford might be influenced by sharing with him how he can be the second class coming in to bring Indiana back into the spotlight much like his brother did...regardless if Romeo is there when he comes, he could continue the rebuild like his brother did so well. Romeo? Everyone seems so confident, but I can't believe any predictions or inside knowledge about Romeo coming from a login name on a thread. With that said, it does all seem to add up. I think he will have much more exposure playing for Indiana than anywhere else, if for no other reason than it's a fun story about a Hoosier kid staying close to home and impacting a program on and off the court...and we all know people around the country acknowledge this is the land of basketball enthusiasts (or, maybe fanatics is more appropriate?).

Because of my inability to do these on a reliable schedule due to the tiny human that keeps outsmarting "baby proof" products, going to do away with down to the minute time. Will just be using the date in the future if we end up with a tie on that some y'all must be working together.

Won 9-1 and 9-3 to sweep the doubleheader, and the series, from the Terps. After four Big Ten series, this team is 10-2 and only half a game out of first place behind Michigan. I'm not sure what happened after that 4-19 start, but it's impressive.
