I saw someone who was there post something (can't remember where i saw it, maybe a twitter comment), about Romeo kinda pushed his way through the media and went over to where they were.

So does the IU players going to Romeo's game last night pretty much put to bed that rumor about Archie informing his coaching staff that Langford is going to Kansas? I think it pretty much does. I can't see Archie telling his coaches that we're not getting Romeo, then turning around and telling 3 current players to take time out of their Saturday night and go watch his tournament game. Just my 2 cents. In this case, actions speak louder than message board rumors.

Havent been on much today and expected some positive enthusiasm after our kids went to watch. Just caught up and all i seen was a bunch of posters attacking each other. I like all you guys just accept we all are individuals and thankfully all dont think a like or this board would be boring. I am hoping we land this kid to give our fan base a shot in the arm. I really think we need a 'group hug'. A lot of anger going on around here these days ... everyone has different opinions and different outlooks on what IU basketball will be... unless they're obvious trolls, I would say let them speak their mind on an open forum about IU basketball. I agree with about 20 percent of what is posted on here, but I never get angry at the person posting their opinion. The whole recruiting threads are the best at bringing out our best, which is mind boggling... the decision of an 18 year old should not bring out these reactions. Call me what you want... I'm guessing, I've been called worse.

Feel bad that I missed posting a couple of games, but this is a good one to start again! Victor had 33 pts., 7 rebs., 3 asts,, and 1 steal. The Pacers beat the Wizards 98-95.

It’s not about sun shining. It’s about being realistic both ways and not openly looking for the negative to the n-th degree when it just isn’t there to prove a point. That is what a few have done. There is one sunshine pumper. There are few that are so jaded they can’t look at any of this stuff without making those around them miserable. For the last couple of nights we had a few that argued non stop how if Archie didn’t come to the first then second sectional game to shut down the thread. I mean multiple pages of just crazy narrative based on things individuals concocted. Not reality or anything put out there. That has been the last 3 months consistently. It isn’t about sunshine pumping, it’s about reality. Some of you have lost it based off your own jaded minds. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It's a nice story that has been concocted to make ourselves feel better. Said it earlier, but it's very easy to convince people that what they want to believe is true. Regardless, I'm above calling a 17/18 year old a punk and accusing him of manipulating grown adults, especially adults in the profession of journalism. Mainly because of the lack of facts, but also to avoid becoming a whining, bitter punk myself.

Funny, no one had a problem with DG and his dad until after he committed to Vandy. Then he "tricked us", "played" our media, is a bad character, and the dad orchestrated it all.

Super move by CAM, really like the idea of the players being there! Hopefully this ends up being a move that tips the scales our way and the start of a new legacy at IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think part of the negativity with some of the posters is that they just don't want to get their hopes up only to be let down, so they put on a negative stance. Recruiting is a tough business, and sometimes it's difficult for people to balance their emotions throughout the process.

Love a good start. @ZainPyarali: 9-2 is the best start for Indiana baseball since going 10-1 in 2003. #iubase

^^This^^ When dbm, an IU poster is on BtownBanners, HSN, and the Purdoo and UK Rivals boards declaring with complete certainty that Langford is “a done deal-it’s over” Vandy commitment, that’s not AT ALL realistic, even if Langford ends up at Vandy. DG was 35/50 of his team's points. RP was 33/50 for his team on the same night. Very likely Zionsville is better than the team Brentwood Academy beat. Also, their State Tournament was in a college gym that seats just over 5,000, and it was half full. Our Sectionals are in sold out high school gyms that dwarf that hold thousands more. Hard to believe Romeo wants to take a step back. We'll see. Justin, Race, and De'Ron are awesome. They're going to be incredible upperclassmen. Man I want this team to find success.

I was so happy to see a crowd at the Columbus East sectional. No really strong teams (Bloomington S had a great record, but not overly dominant), but the crowds were there! Columbus North v Columbus East was a great game (although it was the first time I've seen a travelling call on someone who didn't have the ball, lol). East vs Bloomington South was another exciting game. We haven't had good crowds for awhile here, thrilled to see them coming back!

Being right doesn’t mean you aren’t negative. I was right about Crean as well. I wasn’t thrilled with the hire but gave him a chance. Sometimes people can come across negative when they think they are being realistic. I was labeled as negative bc I was constantly on Crean the last several years. I just think it’s way too early to claiming absolutes in the Archie era, especially in recruiting. To be honest the Langford’s have been pretty open about their timeline and have stuck too it. People just get tired of people constantly claiming it’s a guarantee he goes elsewhere. Jus like people get tired of hearing he is going to IU it’s a lock.

Speaking for myself, have not "lost it". I don't make absolute statements, especially about Archie's recruiting because I'm still learning his capabilities/tendencies in recruiting. I became a great judge on Crean's recruiting over time. Thomas Bryant was the one that threw me off, but that whole recruitment was odd. I don't feel we will get Langford based on how things have gone so far, but I admit, there are a few signs that keep me interested that we might. I hope I'm not lumped into the group that seems to view everything negatively. I feel I have always been an objective assessor of things. I put a lot of detective work into my reasoning for things. For example, how we project next season to go will tell a lot about who is a sunshine pumper, objective, and negative. I will post my expectations after our roster is complete. Our current roster as it stands looks like 4-8 in the B1G. (With Morgan returning). A lot depends on Phinisee and Hunter's effectiveness. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

To be fair - yogi had a strong freshman year then was kind of meh as a leader until Blackman got injured and Dakich called his D and effort out on TV. That seemed to light a fire with him and he finished out strong. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
