Archie may do wonders too. Remember, Bennett went 15-16 and 16-15 his first two years at UVA.

Lol 3 of them were against top 15 teams. Two top 5. Good call, chief.

No, what is very unlikely to happen is three freshmen in the starting lineup. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

quote post="418702" timestamp="1518039865" name="Class of '66 Old Fart" userid="4011"] Tom Crean's available and he could always get advice from the Harbaugh brothers. Gonna run a play every 9 seconds, throw deep regardless of down/distance, and not even hire a def. Coordinator.

Cavs win 59-55. ... I know many people think Tony Bennett's teams are boring, but I like watching them play. Plus, Devon Hall used to live right across the street from me! ... I still wonder: Had things not gone bad with Kathi, would we have had a chance to hire Bennett in '08? He was one of the hot coaching candidates then. Supposedly one of the reasons he wasn't interested in the job was he wasn't happy with the way IU dealt with his sister.

Add the center transfer from Miami that is immediately eligible to play and the other LB transfer from Georgia Tech, and I say we got a great class!

@AllenTrieu: Class by class capsules on each Big Ten school --the top signees, instant impact potential, and the sleepers. https://247sports.com/Article/Big-Ten-Class-by-Class-Capsules-114758789 … Top Rated: RB Ronnie Walker (No. 430, 247Sports Composite) Instant Impact: ATH Reese Taylor Sleeper: RB Stevie Scott The skill talent immediately stands out in the class. Walker and Scott give the Hoosiers two outstanding tailbacks. Walker they beat Virginia, Michigan State and others on, and Scott is a 6-foot-1, 240-pound bruiser. Reese Taylor was Indiana's Mr. Football and could find himself in the slot, returning kicks, playing defensive back or even potentially his high school position of quarterback, but has too much speed and playmaking ability to not find uses for. Quarterback was a key need in the class and just before the Early Signing Period, the Hoosiers landed Michael Penix, who passed for 61 touchdowns as a senior at Tampa Bay Tech. On D, long, rangy defensive end James Head and a good-sized safety in Devon Matthews, both come up from Florida. Former Oregon commit Jonathan King joined Head as a bookend on Signing Day. Defensive tackle Shamar Jones was a handful at camps and is a disruptive prospect.

I agree. Hate to admit it, but he does (normally) get his Mercenaries to buy in, play hard and defend. But he's nothing special as far as coaching. They out-talent 90% of the teams they play, out-hustle a few others and lose when it matters most. Blue tears are the most delicious tears!!

That was the main reason he turned us down. I am happy with Archie but Bennett would've done wonders here.

There’s an old saying that I will paraphrase:If one person thinks you’re wrong you might be right, but if so, so many think you’re the one that’s wrong so often, the one that’s wrong is very likely...you. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

For some reason I just imagined the lights in AH being controlled by a "clapper" while Crean was coaching. Seizures everywhere.

Just keep in mind, this was a short highlight clip. I was at this game and these highlights came from about the first 3 minutes, where he had 10 quick points. After that, i didn’t feel like he had any explosive moments. He was happy to pull up and sometimes force a contested three a few times. One time he was lucky and it happened to bank in. This may sound like I am down on Damezi, I definitely am not, but just remember to take highlight videos with a grain of salt. Damezi’s shooting ability should definitely help us forget the bricks from this year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
