    Three Year Rebuild?

I agree. I am not going to say any one player is a must get. Talent is talent and we need it. Early on I said I would be shocked with a top 20 class. He had that in the bag by August. He has really good recruiters on his staff. I am not worried about recruiting in the least. Every coach we have had has pulled in 5*. IU sells itself. I was sitting next to a guy from Columbus Ohio.He seemed to know everything about the team. He also said Hunter was a good kid and the techs and ejection were out of character. Sent from my LGL41C using BtownBanners mobile app

FINAL: #2 Sacred Heart beats Eastern 86-56. Valkyries start off hot and cruise to a victory over a tough 7th Region foe who had already scored a couple top 10 wins. SHA's Grace Berger finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists on 9/15 shooting.

So this could happen. Billy Donovan unstable in OKC takes job at Louisville. Ncaa does nothing to them and they land Romeo anyway.

Vic had a rough game. 19 points on 9-26 FG, 1-9 3FG. He just forced it way too much in an emotional game.

    Jordan Howard - Miami Dolphins

Walter's rookie season QBs were Gary Huff, Bob Avellini and Bobby Douglass. They all make Cutler look like Brady. And his O lines were absolutely atrocious until Ditka got there in the early 80s. Still, congrats to Jordan, awesome accomplishment!

Yeah that makes me sick because UL is going to fall a$$ backwards into Billy Donovan and just keep rolling. You know darn well that's what will happen.

I have a feeling Donovan is done in OKC after this year. And I don’t see another NBA team picking him up. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If Romeo doesn't come I won't be upset. I have high hopes that when Jerome Hunter is a sophomore he will be the level of player we expect Romeo to be next season.

I think guys like Hurt might as well have a standing offer from the NCAA to pick whatever school he wants. I don't think a school exists that wouldn't take this guy. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Well, the thing about IU is, we don't need a ban to miss multiple post seasons. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

    Three Year Rebuild?

Guys, Archie was hired March 25th. Less than 9 months ago. Holy hell, go bury your head in the snow like an ostrich till you cool off. 1) I actually agree that on paper, this team has enough talent to make the tournament. I think in reality, most of our “leaders” have not lived up to their paper talent, and the pieces don’t mesh as well as they should. That said, there’s plenty more basketball to be played, and I expect Archie to have the guys playing their best at the end of the season. So yes, I’m saying there’s a chance! 2) New offense and defense is going to reduce the effectiveness of paper talent as they learn how to execute. This also required a great deal of erasing old lessons and habits. Regardless, can we all take a season to breath? We just fired the guy who (sadly) put together the most successful stretch of IU basketball since the early 90’s. Archie wasn’t going to walk-in and win a National Championship or even win at an acceptable level with the same (but actually worse) team that lost to Josh Pastner in the first round of the NIT. Anyone who believed otherwise let their excitement over Crean’s firing get the best of them. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners

Archie gets paid more than Mike White. But we all want to hear more about how much you hate Glass.

    Three Year Rebuild?

Those examples of immediate success are 1) anecdotal, and 2) completely eliminate context: Mike White had a fully stocked cupboard in year one. I believe he's a very good coach and he has performed very well, but replacing high-level kids who were coached by Billy Donavan is VERY different than what Archie inherited, no? True, and Sampson (who, by all accounts is a pretty good in-game coach) did so by bringing in such luminaries as Ellis, Basset, DeAndre, etc, etc. And you cite as some badge of achievement that Sampson had us in the top ten in year two. Well, so did Crean last year! AND, just like Crean last year (though for different reasons) that Sampson team completely fell apart. And that was BEFORE the news came out that the best Sampson team was chock full of drug users and 'D' students.

    Three Year Rebuild?

Based on expected improvement of basic skills of one year to the next. On top of that we won’t go into next year’s practices having to reinvent the wheel. Far from hope actually. I have seen it many times over at many places. The first year is the hangover and the second year is growth. MSU won’t be near this year’s quality. Minny won’t either. I see Maryland and OSU moving up too. I see is in that top 5 range. We will see, but I think dropping Newkirk and Johnson will be huge. No matter which way anyone cuts it we will be more athletic. We aren’t losing shooters. At worst Morgan, Davis, Smith, and Al will be here and most likely improve, and the rest are a flush to what we lose. That will be around 18-22 wins.
