Confucius say: Stop looking at and agonizing over the crystal ball predictions. Fall signing period over; earliest he can sign an LOI is April of next year and who knows what will happen in the next 5 months. It's not worth elevating your blood pressure or tearing your hair out (if you haven't already done so).

I think I see where Archie is going with the pack line. Get a couple long, physical guards out there and things should look much better. I can't wait to see what his system looks like once he gets his own guys in it.

Maryland's nightmare finish to the season is finally over. 0-0 tie against Albany in regulation despite dominating than St. Clair their goalie who is one of the most athletic, talented and energetic goalies I've seen as just a freshman made a couple really nice saves in PK's but the Maryland kickers kept whiffing and finally were beaten by Albany in 8th round. Maryland was actually a really scary team with all their talent but just had no composure in last few games down the stretch (reminded me of a Freitag team). Their coach Sasho Cirovski said a few weeks ago he wanted USMNT job and his team has tanked since. Don't think he'll be getting it now. In other games of some interest: 1. Butler won 2-0 over Lipscomb to move on and face VCU next round 2. New Hampshire dominated Fairfield 3-0 for right to face Dartmouth and winner takes on us in Sweet 16 if we beat ODU 3. Wiscy won 4-1 against UIC and will face Notre Dame next round 4. Va Tech beat Air Force 2-0 on the other side of our bracket and will face MSU next round 5. That San Francisco team who we beat 5-1 early in season won 2-1 Over cal tonight to advance and face Louisville next round

To me, just the fact that I was able to sit through a double-digit loss speaks volumes. The game was far from perfect and seeing the reality that is IU's team this year stings a bit, but I just remind myself that IU's games were darn near unwatchable the latter half of last season. Lord knows how much I DO NOT miss the offense burning the first fifteen seconds of shot clock running a three man weave 27 feet from the hoop.

Thank you Old Dominion for dumping NC State for us. NC St was the only team on our side of the bracket that scared me. We have abolutely no excuse to not get to at least get to the elite 8 and if we don't it may be time to put Yeagley on notice for next year. We will never have a better draw to move on and try to win a title and need to take advantage. ODU looks good with their record but have also conceded a good amount of goals and lost to a couple teams ranked below 75. Ironically last NCAA tourney game I attended was in 2011 when we smacked ODU 3-0 in a rain storm and will attend this weekend so hopefully that is a good sign (circumstances of either work or thanksgiving travel have prevented me each year since from attending).

Arizona being the "leader" for Shittu doesn't bode well imo for the school that lands him. Kid was going to get paid at Arizona until they were caught. Clearly willing to take a check. That's what I was saying the other day. As I stated it would be the greatest recruiting haul of all time for a non bball school to come out of nowhere to land 3 top 10 recruits. It's never been done before. Ever. If that wouldn't raise a red flag don't know what would. Never understood the shittu connection or how they lead or are leading. It all seems odd to me. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

They lead because the FBI decided to get involved and busted Arizona. Arizona was probably the leader before all that went down. From his top 10 Shittu scheduled 3 visits. He went to Vandy and then cancelled Arizona and never set up one for North Carolina. In my opinion if he was a vandy lock he would of signed early especially knowing Garland signed but that wasn’t the case. To me he is a kid that knows he has 4 visits he can take in the spring and knows schools will be calling. He might end up at vandy but I think he goes to Oregon or Kentucky. Just my opinion from following his recruitment. Romeo is going to go to the school that will best prepare him for the NBA. 2 of his final 3 give him the best facilities for that and 1 doesn’t Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

The fact that our young guys are buying in is what makes me confident that Archie is the right guy. They haven't been ruined by Crean yet, and it shows that it's not a problem with Archie as a coach. He gets guys to buy in, just not the ones who spent several years under Crean. Once he gets more and more of his guys here we should be just fine.

watching ISU play Auburn in a preseason tournament in class and i just watched Brenton Scott airball a wide open three and I swear I almost picked up my computer and threw it across the classroom

For you cliff jumpers, Roy Williams is a very good coach. A scum bag but a great coach. His first season at UNC he went .500 in conference and barely squeaked into the tourney as a bubble team. But get this, he had 3 top 10 recruits and burger boys in May, Felton, and McCants. They were all sophomores too. That would be like the equivalent of giving Archie Cody Zeller, Yogi, and Eric Gordon right away. As we all know though he doesn't have anywhere close to that talent. It takes time to implement a new system fellas. Be patient.
