Kentucky has us beat in a few sections. Fewest teeth per capita. Shallower gene pool. Number of borderline/totally illiterate persons. Heck, the handful that know how to turn on a computer probably think the CD rom drive is a cup holder. EDIT: Full disclosure, I work in IT and I've heard of a person thinking their CD drive was a cup holder.... Not one of my users (thankfully).

Ladies take care of Southern 64-49. Strong game from Royster whom I've not spoken highly of on more than one occasion. Freshmen Yeaney and Penn with solid games and 8 rebounds from Wickware off the bench. Western KY visits on the 17th; 7:00 tipoff.

Romeo has always been the more important recruit. If IU can get him, it’s a great first class

One thing I know for sure because I have seen it with my own eyes is now that games have started Coach Miller has already started shortening practices. They go just as hard but they are shorter practices due to playing games. Coach Miller puts more focus on using video to teach the kids. He will use a 6-minute clip to show a player 4 minutes of what he is doing wrong and 2 minutes of how he is doing it right. He does this individually with each player. Crean never did any of that. He wasn't organized enough to do something like that. He didn't tell players, coaches or officials when the practice was that day till around noon the day of practice. Just a text saying can you be here at 2 for practice. These kids have never practiced or been around someone as organized as Coach Miller. It's just totally different and going to take time to adjust too. They will either adjust, buy in or they won't be here next season.

I can tell you its not an overworked issue. Someone I know has been to practice under both Crean and Miller so far. He said Crean lead a 3 hour practice in between games and this was immediately after a lifting session with Anderson. Under Miller he said they had a solid lift under Marshell and went for like an 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Plus I am a Freshman at IU now and my strength coach in high school is one of the best in the country (has turned down offers from Indiana football, Florida football, and IMG and more) but he said Anderson has no clue what hes doing and is just a hype man in a talk we had last year. He said Anderson is the reason all the players were hurt in the offseason so they missed out on a lot of time and the reason a lot of players kept getting hurt during the season. When I asked him about Clif Marshell he had nothing but praise and said hes one of the best in the business. The older guys may not love playing for Miller in terms of the x's and o's being a complete flip, but they definitely are worked not quite as hard but much more productively.

IMO I think Justin has shown enough he can and should take some of Juwan’s minutes. Rob? Dude has been Jekyl and Hyde at IU for 4 years. I don’t know. I mean Al can take some of his minutes and they will be equally inconsistent. I think both players are what they are. Not high major starters for a team that wants to make the tournament. I standby the best line-up for this team in my opinion is: Green/Johnson/Durham/Smith/Davis

If we can land a few like TJD, Brooks, Hurt, Watford we could look like an MSU in a few years with Moore, Forrester, and Davis all developing. The wings will have Smith, Hunter, and possibly Romeo. That roster can compete. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
