    MODS: Fwiw you won't find many people on here who actually defend what RMK did. There was a big debate a while back on the RMK topic. Lol On any topic we don't really curb talk unless it gets personal between two members or extremely off topic. If a mod is involved(I've been guilty of it many times) the other mods will call them on it. But for the most part we just try to let everyone have fun and talk about all thinks IU or sports related.

    Bob Knight is a huge part of Indiana being one of the top programs in history; without him Crean wouldn't have been able to say "because it's Indiana". I don't like that he hasn't come back and I don't condone all the things he did as a coach, but there is no getting around what he meant to the program. As an individual, he's complex. He did a lot of good things, did a lot of bad things too.

    Some people might be tired of jabs at Knight. You have no problem with one group, but tried to rally the mods to end the other. That seemed overly sensitive and hypocritical to me. Whatever, I don't care enough. It just seems weird that you'd get so upset at one but not the other.

    Yeah, in 1940 and 1953. Cincinnati and Oklahoma State both won two NCs 50+ years ago too. Does anyone consider them elite programs? Bob Knight turned IU into a blue blood program.

    No that's not what you said. I gave my opinion and your responded with "you're wrong" the only other thing that was said was I witnessed him being a ****** and others have too. You wouldn't know if that was wrong or not. You're doing the same thing that you're up in arms about. So because you had a good instance that makes him a great man, but if others had a bad instances it's wrong to judge? That makes no sense.

    Great. Well everyone else might not. You bash people for continuing to bring him up and saying anything remotely negative (sorry but that's going to happen to any coach that gets fired because obviously not everyone wanted him here). I have no doubt TC is a good guy. But I also agree he comes off as something different than what he really is. Knew a few folks in the athletic department that didn't think as highly as him as you did.

    Correct.. and DD who's improvement was awesome, but.. was a tad inflated because he got zero off-season work last year. Had to take a class plus had two injuries I believe.
