I'm really hoping to get Jallow to stay in Bloomington. Just the thought of watching him at Purdue for 3or 4 years is disturbing.

Chargers Sign Third-Round Pick Dan Feeney The entire Los Angeles Chargers draft class is officially under contract as the Bolts announced third-round pick Dan Feeney signed a four-year contract on Friday. A 6-4, 305-pound guard out of Indiana, Feeney was the 71st overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. A two-time team captain and four-year starter for the Hoosiers, he won accolades each year in Bloomington. After being named a third-team All-America selection and first-team All-Big Ten pick purely as a guard his junior year, Feeney appeared at right tackle in 2016. His play earned him first-team All-America honors and a second straight selection to the All-Big Ten team.

Admittedly, I haven't seen as much IU baseball as I would've liked this season. But in the handful of games I have witnessed, I've seen enough baserunning mistakes to fill an entire season. And these are recent -- shouldn't be happening this late in the season. No excuse for that.

I'm a native Hoosier and an IU grad who now lives in Virginia. Just happened to check the local paper's website and saw that our Triple-A team (Norfolk Tides) is playing Rochester this weekend. Aaron Slegers is taking the bump Saturday night for the Red Wings. If I didn't have something else going on, I'd love to go watch him pitch.

I made the trip down to Lexington. Even though we lost I'm glad I went. Their stadium is decent but feels a little dated and not nearly as big as Bart Kaufman. The two areas of improvement this team needs to make offensively are base running and hitting off speed pitches. The base running was atrocious (cost us the game with Dedelow stopping at third). The terrible swings at offspeed pitches weren't apparent sitting behind home plate in the game vs. UL but today they were. There wasn't a batter that looked completely fooled on at least one offspeed pitch. I hate that feeling of being the better team but shooting yourself in the foot. That Fineman foul looked so good for so long. Hope the cameraman is feeling better. He got absolutely rocked.

Final line on Milto: 6 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 9 K, 0 BB. IMO that first inning run wasn't an earned run as I'd have given Krupa an error, but what do I know. Probably got as much out of Milto tonight as we could have hoped for.

And he should be extremely complementary of each program that makes the effort to recruit him and host him, including Georgetown, if he decides he wants to go to Indiana.

They'll only be freshmen but that's a backcourt that could compete for a conference title and a run in the tourney. Upperclassmen Morgan and Davis in the front court should be able to hold their own with most other players in the country too.
