Of course not at the end of the day whoever would of gotten the IU job would have to do the same thing as CAM will have to do in the future.......win. But for me he has started out his time at IU the right way and for the current players to stay on board is a great start Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Hope he makes the best of his talents and straightens his life out before it's too late. I think he has the potential to be a good kid if he gets the right guidance. Or maybe I'm wrong, but something tells me he's more young, dumb, and immature than a bad guy. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Indiana Adds Muse to 2017 Recruiting Class BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University head men's soccer coach Todd Yeagley announced the addition of Trey Muse to the program's 2017 recruiting class. Muse joins a highly-touted 2017 group for the Hoosiers that was ranked the fourth-best recruiting class in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer. Along with Muse, the class includes John Bannec, Kyle Barks, Griffin Dorsey, Jacob Gruber, Jacob Meier, Justin Rennicks, Joe Schmidt, Mason Toye and Thomas Warr. "We are very excited to have Trey join our soccer program," coach Yeagley remarked. "He has been a standout with the U-18 National Team establishing himself as one of the top goalkeepers in his age group. Trey has also had the opportunity to train with the Seattle Sounders first-team while playing for the U-18 the Sounders Academy squad. Trey is long and athletic with very good distribution. Trey completes a very special recruiting class." The 10-member class will join a talented Indiana squad that posted a record of 12-2-7, ending the season ranked No. 9 in the country in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. IU reached the NCAA Tournament for the 30th-straight season in 2016 and for the 41st overall time in program history. The Hoosiers earned a national seed for the 12th time in the last 14 years, beating Akron before falling to Virginia Tech in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16. A complete bio for Muse can be found below, as well as a video of coach Yeagley discussing the Louisville, Ky. native. RIP Chris Cornell. I was dumbfounded when I heard this when I woke up.

Every single player on that list would be an excellent "get." Some would be mega-excellent.

Nothing would have been guaranteed no matter who the coach is. At this point I am in agreement with his recruiting philosophy and like how the players have responded to him in the media. I don't know. At this point I am very happy with the start of this. All he has to do is win. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I have no doubt that he's better than Crean. That's like comparing a brownie to a turd. But does this brownie have frosting on the top? (sorry, I drank beer all day on the golf course again)

We are going to find out recruiting potential here within the next year. That will tell me if this staff can get it done or not. 5 open spots. Positions of need. Should be a top 10 class based on size and need and in state talent. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

I'm not too greedy, I'd take almost any 5 off Wayne's list and I'll even narrow it down to 3 of his top 10.

Maybe he's a kid that just needs to get far away from home. Some guys aren't bad guys but they have bad influences that they won't cut out because they've been friends for so long.

    2019 IUFB Recruiting

Simplified recruiting 101. Just target 1 or 2 schools and call it a day. Indiana football offers 9 players from same school on same day http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/hoosier-insider/2017/05/17/indiana-football-offers-nine-players-same-school-same-day/329093001/

Not at all what's going on here. I'm not hoping he fails. Never have I ever said anything close. I'm just not optimistic based upon what I've seen. As far as comparisons to Crean, I'm not bringing them up, I'm just responding to them. And I've said there's no comparison same as you. All I'm saying here is that there's no promise of future success based upon one season. Read it again, you'll see it's true.

There is not one similarity between the two other than being coach at IU. Look we didn't hire Gregg Marshall. I know that bums you out. Not sure why but it has. Why not give the guy a chance at this point? We tried getting you to watch his games in January. The one half where you brought up you knew he wasn't the man they came back to win on the road against the 2nd best team in the A-10. I don't know man. Just seems like sour grapes due to it not being Marshall at this point and hoping he fails so you can tell everyone you told them so. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Regardless of what round he got to that was still a very impressive thing to do with a limited roster. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

You mean when a player is playing well you wouldn't take him out?
  24. 2 points
I could see him playing around 28. The foul problem was a combination of fatigue, inexperience, and defensive philosophy. He will be in better shape, he'll have a season and summer under his belt, and a different defensive system under Archie.
