Also jump on the get off TBs back bandwagon. Kid played his heart out for us. Not his fault his coach was clueless which left him ineffective at time. Kid cared enough to cry after the loss to UNC

Agreed. Most loved his passion when we were winning but after a bad season people want to do nothing but talk bad about the kid. Seems to be a trend on here and other IU sites with players that are leaving lately.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Behind a strong outing from sophomore Pauly Milto, Indiana (28-19-2, 11-8-1 Big Ten) bounced back on Saturday with a 5-2 victory over Penn State to even the series at one game apiece. Milto put together another quality outing, as he went six innings, allowing six hits on three walks and no strikeouts. The sophomore didn't allow a run on 81 pitches, as he lowered he season ERA to 3.54. Sophomore Matt Lloyd picked up his seventh save of the season as he faced the minimum in the ninth. Offensively, Indiana pounded out 11 hits on the day, including two-hit performances from senior Alex Krupa, senior Tony Butler and junior Logan Sowers. Krupa homered and Sowers added an RBI, while Lloyd drove in two on the day. Freshman Jake Matheny got the start at catcher and drove in a run. Indiana struck first in the fourth inning as sophomore Luke Miller doubled to center field and then advanced to third on a groundout. Sowers provided the first RBI of the game as he hit a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Miller. Then with two outs, freshman Matt Gorski bunted for a hit, stole second, and then scored on Matheny's base-hit to left field to make it a 2-0 game. Indiana added insurance in the fifth when Krupa hit a solo shot to right field. It was Krupa's fifth career home run and his fourth when leading off an inning. After Milto exited the game, Penn State inched closer on an RBI single to left field, making it a 3-1 game. The Hoosiers rebounded from the one-run seventh by the Nittany Lions. Freshman Jeremy Houston and Krupa each reached base on hits, and then each advanced a base on Butler's sacrifice bunt. Lloyd then connected on a two-run single to extend Indiana's lead to 5-1 after the seven frames. After Penn State plated one in the eighth, Lloyd closed the door facing the minimum three batters in the ninth. Penn State and Indiana face off in the rubber game of the three game set on Sunday at noon. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Since when did Thomas Bryant have a bad attitude? So he complains about some fouls? Who cares? The kid gives his all on the court and plays with emotion. Outside of Yogi, he's the biggest reason IU won the league title and went to the sweet sixteen two years ago. I'd rather have a kid that you need to try and reign in, than have one you have to try and get to play hard.

Games 2 & 3 in the books from Atlanta. Kevin Easley showed up today and played on Meanstreets with Damezi Anderson and Darius Bazley. 6 pts. in only 7 minutes in the afternoon game and 3 pts. in the night game; minutes played weren't posted. Don't know if this is a permanent jump for Easley from UA to EYBL or just for this weekend. Keion Brooks having a good weekend. Don't know if we're really following Ayo Dosunmu of Mac Irvin Fire or not but he's putting up pretty good numbers. Carey, Garland, King and Swider all with 3 pretty solid games. I agree with everything that he wrote in the article and quite frankly I don't think he is wrong. He simply is trying to say that you shouldn't be afraid to speak your mind and have a voice in society for that it what the first amendment allows you to do. I think it is all about finding your passion and getting involved in things that matter to you. He also is saying to college graduates and student-athletes don't let society dictate who you should be and that you should be whatever you want to be.

I like Thomas Bryant. However, he came to IU as a pretty immature kid. He played at IU during a time period when the head coach had a manic, quirky personality. I can see how that was someone Thomas could relate to during his recruitment, but it did him no favors. With Yogi, Max, and Z leading the team his freshman year, he seemed to mature substantially during the season, and his improved play reflected that. During his second season, without Yogi, Max, and Zeis, he was asked by the manic, quirky head coach to be one of the team's leaders. It. Did. Not. Go. Well.

I know y'all are probably sick and tired of my social media updates by now lol, but Devonte and his fam are visiting his brother in San Antonio and he posted something on snapchat about taking his brother's dog "back to Indy" with him, so I see that as confirmation that he'll be back.. Not that there was really any question about it anyway, but yeah. He was also at the Spurs' facility today which is pretty cool.

I don't know that you can really handle the vetting without a firm. You just had an abusive coach scandal, you have another one that everyone seems to remember, you have to be beyond diligent hiring the coach that could define your tenure. Unless they also hired someone there too.

No doubt Crean, Thomas, Blackmon can go on towards success. I hope for it and expect it. Doesn't change a wasted college basketball season from a fan's perspective (except it was bad enough to CAN Crean-so it was worth it in the long run). The Codys and Victors are more rooted for than the Vonlehs and Blackmon's. It comes down to winning and investing into IUBB wholeheartedly before, during, and after.
