I'll be following the kid as much as I can. He was a really, really good all round player for the Trees.

Not broken up about it honestly. He's a question mark at IU. Nebraska not so much.

Former Bears and Colts GM Bill Tobin dies at 83. Also was an exec with the Lions and later, a Bengals scout. Gave us one of the greatest sound bites in NFL history. 'WHO IN THE HELL IS MEL KIPER?"

After all the departures in Madison, some Bucky fans have been calling for a changing of the Gard (see what I did there?) Not gonna happen. At least not anytime soon.

I am floored by this. A new Libertines album for the 1st time in gotta be 10 years. I just assumed one of those dudes would have killed the other ages ago. Always liked them. Their best music is terrific, though the range of outcomes was always pretty wide. Haven’t listened to it yet, but really happy that they’re still alive and kicking.

We can wait it out another year. He will still have a year of eligibility left next year. He will be in the portal again. I feel like next year will be the year for IU and Conwell

Take it for whatever you want but according to Jeff Rabjohns: IU was unable to gain traction with Ryan Conwell because Conwell felt Kanaan Carlyle was coming and Conwell would not have a chance to start. I know Ryan Conwell was desired and I get that completely. I do think there is a very real chance that Kanaan Carlyle, moved off the ball thanks to Myles Rice, is a better player in the Big Ten than Ryan Conwell would have been. At least some portion of Conwell's success/numbers have to be attributed to the very friendly system of Josh Schertz. Conwell is a really good player, I think Carlyle is as well. Rice and Carlyle (just waiting for it to become official) clearly like each other and wanted to play together. If getting Rice meant Carlyle was a bigger priority because of their desire to play together, I think it makes total sense.

Joey Hart just committed to Ball State. Good for Coach Lewis.
  17. Just not a fan, brother! Hope to be wrong, though. He did have a massive drop in a game last year, as well, in the exact same situation-- RPO-- to a skinny post/slant. And outside of the drop-- he did play well.

They all showed some issues there though, I'm sure there will be a lot of rotating in and out to keep guys fresh. He's certainly got the speed to stretch the field and be a big play threat.

If you want to be a bit adventerous, the apls - swiss, italian, french - all gorgeous. Was just in the Swiss alps this winter to ski but they're awesome in the summer too. Lots of gorgeous small towns easily accessible by train. Vienna is also one of my favorite cities in the world. Not a ton to do with kids, though. Was also in Helsinki a couple weeks ago - great little town.

Planning a fam trip to England / Europe for August (avoiding Paris in July - Olympics). Haven’t been since ‘98. Will probably hit 3, maybe 4 cities/countries, looking for suggestions— Starting in London as have Brit cousins (aunt on mom’s side grew up and married in England, the then Queen’s doctor but that’s another story). Have to go across the water to Paris, love, love Paris. May go to Amsterdam, not sure (daughter’s finishing an internship in Gronigen, Netherlands). any suggestions for a family (all adults) friendly, not too hot in August (e.g. no way Rome, no a/c and temps are bad now there in summer), that is maybe a bit off the usual tourist route, Prague? Others?

I saw that Brendan Hausen from Villanova is expected to visit Nebraska now on Monday. Seems most of their fans hope they don’t put the full press on trying to get Essegian if they’re able to end up getting Hausen instead.
