Difference: U Conn is 6th in defensive efficiency, Illinois is 91st.
-
This season it's been about teams with high offensive efficiency winning games. Alabama is 4th in offense and 101st in defense; Illinois is 2nd in offense and 91st in defense. Both in the elite eight.

Yeah, but IU has toxic fans. :) If he wants to leave there are bunches of programs he can play for. -

UConn and Illinois in the elite 8 should be a fantastic match up. Both great offenses

Was it back in the Crean era maybe that there was a saying or some shirts that said something like: “Welcome to Bloomington, a drinking town with a basketball problem”. Seems like it may be relevant again, or still.

It’s night and day basketball watching Alabama basketball vs Indiana basketball.
-
Ya and they still can’t make em. 13 for 27 shooting 48 percent…yikes
-
Saw Iowa State cut it to 3 and turned it back on just in time to see Shannon take an inbounds pass, simply run into a guy and get free throws. So lame.

Dainja falling I guess is a foul.
-
Illini leading even though they are 9-21 from the “charity” stripe.
-
Iowa State letting Illinois have wide open 3 after wide open 3 doesn't appear to be a winning strategy.

Best of luck to both teams, I am pulling for Mack to have a huge weekend, it’s so weird, been following SC team for 12 years now but cannot pull against Kenzie…..worst case for me was those teams in same bracket… -
Can we stop pretending Nate Oats isn't a great coach because he hadn't gotten past the Sweet 16 yet?

(2024) - SF Bryson Tucker to INDIANA
RaceToTheTop replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Having trouble tracking down his high school stats (not abnormal, its hard to find them for a lot of players) to see Tucker's shooting numbers, particularly from the three point line. Did find an article where his team won the Beach Ball Classic where he scored like 28 of his team's 64 points in the first game and then 34 of his team's 77 in a double OT victory in the championship and in the title game he made five threes. -
Bacot blowing a wide open dunk with about 7 minutes left may come back to haunt UNC.
-
Alabama giving UNC some issues they are up on em.
-
Thank you for this. There may be no greater victory in 2024 than posting something on the internet and getting a response of “I can’t disagree with anything you said.” ;-)

We did, but Purdue twidiots took to X to say how it wasn't a good pickup. Sorry, meant Tucker. Not sure why I typed Young. -

Damn. Other than West Virginia, a real southern list. Might like the warm weather. I will say that the two things that concerned me were his height and that his three point shooting percentages jumped all over the map in his four years -- 40% his freshman year, 21% his sophomore year, 32% his junior year, 43% his senior year. Still in need of a point guard and shooters. Hopefully positive developments with Hickman this weekend.
